It has been announced Emily, but via the Announcements page on the Goodreads Feedback group. I'd like to think they'd email the rules change to all GRs users, even if it's to our PM box here on GRs.
Please be careful in your response to this. If you follow the link, it has nearly 4,000 comments. It's a very heated discussion.

Don't hold your breath, Briansgirl ;) Anyway, I think it's a very heated theme. I'll give it a pass :D (I've already been in the feedback thread).

I have now notified members in all the groups I am a member of, so at least my conscience is clear!

I have over 600 reviews and have read and rated over 1,000 books here on GRs. There is now way I can go back and attempt to track to see if any of my reviews have been removed lately. The only time I did in the past have one removed, at the request of the author (who was a royal pain the *** spamming all the groups and causing a ruckus), I was notified. I reported that author and turned my deleted review into a blog entry.
As a group owner/moderator I joined both the GRs Feedback group and the Moderator Support Group.
