Marilyn | 9 comments This book was a humorous account of a Jewish boy growing up in the 60's whose father dies. He has several brothers. I seem to recall that the author's first name was Richard and he wrote other books on topics completely unrelated to this. It was very funny. Please help!

Was it fiction or nonfiction? Any idea what year it was published?

Marilyn | 9 comments Fiction. I don't know when it was published, but I'm guessing within the last 20 years, no earlier.

Do you know where he was growing up? Was it YA or adult?

Marilyn | 9 comments I remember it to be in the Northeast, somewhere that typically has a large Jewish community, but I could be wrong about that. I am thinking it could be either YA or adult.

I haven't come across a specific book yet but could it be something by Richard Russo? I don't know if he writes funny novels but he did come up under a search of Jewish fiction.

Marilyn | 9 comments My sister remembered! It's called The Widow's Son. Thanks for trying.
