Thanks Jenne - I forgot one could be a stand alone book - I will do that.
Hey Jenne,
Here is the amazon link showing The Sweet Spot. at the bottom right under the reviews, it does say book 1.

I still don't see it but it only counts if it shows on Goodreads per the threads above.

Not at all - I just don't see it when I click on the link you gave - in the author notes she does mention we'll meet up with the two main characters from this book in the next two books in the series but that was all I saw.
Since it can count as a stand alone I'm good otherwise I would have just picked another book since it's only the first day for this week's challenge and I have plenty in my TBR pile to pick from. But again only what Goodreads says counts - not Amazon or B&N - Jenne's rules.
Gotcha!
I'm anal about reading series in order, so when I need to see the order, I go to Amazon, but I look at the book on the kindle version.
At the ver bottom after the 3-4 reviews on page on 1, you will see "Book Extras from Shelfari Community"
It lists info about the books, it usually only lists the novels in order. After the books, it lists the novellas. Try it and let me know if it works for you.

Sorry JoAnne ( and everyone else).
I've deleted my earlier comment.
The Dallas Cowboys are putting me in a really foul mood. I didn't mean to get so snippy earlier. At least Ndamakung Suh hasn't hurt anyone.
I'll try to go take a timeout for bad bahavior

I will check into that - making dinner now so I don't have time to do it now. I also prefer to read books in order but usually go to the author's website to see if they shed light on connected books, series, order to read, etc.
I didn't take it personally. Remember we could end up on the same team challenge in the future. Have to remain friends with everyone!

Is the cover 50% red? Jenne would probably have to see the cover.

Now that I googled the cover I see what you mean - looked pretty red to me too. Guess I should have looked first!
would this be red enough?
it looks much more red enlarged and in person, I'm just trying to find something for when my team rolls later today :)
