It’s the end of the world. Six students have taken cover in Cortege High but shelter is little comfort when the dead outside won’t stop pounding on the doors. One bite is all it takes to kill a person and bring them back as a monstrous version of their former self. To Sloane Price, that doesn’t sound so bad. Six months ago, her world collapsed and since then, she’s failed to find a reason to keep going. Now seems like the perfect time to give up. As Sloane eagerly waits for the barricades to fall, she’s forced to witness the apocalypse through the eyes of five people who actually want to live. But as the days crawl by, the motivations for survival change in startling ways and soon the group’s fate is determined less and less by what’s happening outside and more and more by the unpredictable and violent bids for life—and death—inside. When everything is gone, what do you hold on to?

This book was a nightmare when I read it last year, I read it on the drive to reno for a bowling tournament and lets just say I got to the point I was ready to chuck my kindle out of the car it was so borning and when things actually happened....No shock value?

The most exciting thing that happened by now, was Baxter showing up, and that wasn't very exciting at all...I'm bored by now. Also, Sloane is depressing me...I'm not really enjoying her. Wow you're way farther than I am! I wish I would have remembered to bring it with me this morning. I had two different doctor's appointments this morning and I spent so much time waiting for the doctors! I could have read the whole time :(

I'm fine! One was just a regular check up, the other was a check up after minor surgery (it was just bad timing that they were scheduled back to back), but I'm healing well and will be back to normal in no time :)

Ok so I'm only at 26%, but I'm really liking it so far. I didn't even want to put it down to hop on here and update, but it was time so I set it down for a minute.

Is it just me that likes it, or were the rest of you still ok with the book up until this point?
