I would LOVE to be a reviewer. Good authors deserve credit and honesty is always best. One question. Will the books be free or do we have to purchase?
Books will be free.
I will be posting up our first author tomorrow.
so when that is up you leave your email and wait for it to come. then read and review.
it is that simple.....well we are trying to get it that way!

I think you can PM the author, but you would need to get the author's permission ahead of time. Just ask :)

Yes, posting to the thread is fine. If the author contacts back, then you are good.

Norma is right. if you say your interested but don't want to put up your email . suggest the author contact you via the Goodreads message system. if the author privately messages you then you can. give over your details. if you get no response just let me know and I'll contact the author for you.

yeah, post up a topic in this folder only. requesting for reviewers and to contact you directly.
have a look at what others have done as an example.
promotions will be deleted or moved (authors get a warning before it happens). we have an authors work folder that promotions should be held in.
we usually revamp the group every 6 months to fix any errors and make interesting changes but this year has been quite hectic for all of us.
so hopefully if we get time we will have a promotions folder, a review request folder, among others.
sorry for any confusion. we will get to fixing it up as soon as we can.

Review Content
We really only ask two things for a review. That it have one Paragraph dedicated to a review and that this paragraph not be the synopsis of the book. I understand people like to include the book synopsis or blurbs in their review and this is fine. But I have seen some reviews where that is the only thing that is in the review.
The author is after a review of the book...its not hard.
Time limits
Time limits will be set for each book. The standard time limit will be one month from start date, yes you will be given a start date too.
This is so you have adequate time to read and review.
Time extensions will be given to those who ask for it. But only close to due date....it would be silly to give them out close to the start date.
if you don't think you will have time then don't request.
Review Posting
Once you have done your review you are to post up a link to your review in the same topic as you requested the book in.
This makes it easier and you can set up notifications for the topic as I'll be announcing when its time to get your reviews in.
you are required to post your review on goodreads however if possible, could it also be posted not just on Goodreads, but also on Amazon USA, UK, and any of your blogs or reviewing sites. this is not a requirement.
Punishments
If you do not provide a review you get 3 chances
*For your first you will be banned from requesting the next months book.
**If it is your second you will be banned for 2 months.
***If it is your third you get banned for 6 months and a group strike against you.
Please be aware a group strike puts you on the road to being kicked out of the group.
I have never had to kick people out and would like to avoid It if possible. But I have given people strikes and will not hesitate to do so.
