Goodbye

I just wanted to say goodbye to everybody. I'm in the middle of removing all my books and just need to pull some comments from groups before shutting down. Goodreads' latest statement that they can't restore users' content that they deleted before giving a warning about new rules, and the way they're managing this in general, is beyond my ability to tolerate gracefully. I'm Osho at Booklikes.

Bye, everyone. I'll miss you. Louise, part of my concern and alarm is that GR has not yet posted the new rules (most of which don't trouble me too much) sitewide (which is part of what troubles me a lot).

I think the problem is not the rules themselves, but the way they have been implemented. There is a problem with people hiding behind aliases and insulting both authors and reviewers. Goodreads are attempting to address that problem, in an unnecessarily heavy-handed and unfair way.
