Outside of reviews, you should either go by "Fair Use" rules, or in the case of something like posting an author image on an author profile, you must either have copyright permission or be able to show that the image is in the public domain. It might be in violation of Fair Use rules to type up an entire poem in the Quotes section, for example, but not against Fair Use rules to type part of a poem.
If you're in doubt, you can always start a thread inquiring whether using a particular image or online source is permissible and ask staff or librarians to weigh in.
This is not a Librarians Group issue, but one for the Feedback Group. Librarians can help with issues pertaining to specific book records or most related issues, but have no control over general site functionality or related issues. Closing thread.

Where could I find GR policies on citations and posting images?
For example, when quoting a poem, am I correct in thinking that a poem may be posted if it is published elsewhere online- with a link to the page? I have seen this done, but could not find the official GR rules.. What would be the preferred citation format?
I know members may add their own cover photos. How about artwork? Is it acceptable to add an image from a book (with source credit) to illustrate a review or show a favorite image from an art book for example?
Thanks for your help!
