He got up and held his hand out to her.

He held her hand. "Come on, I know a place," he smiled, leading her outo f the street.
Rise followed, liking that he kept holding her hand.
Jason led her to a cute looking diner, smiling at her. "What do you think?"
He smiled back at her and led her inside. "Jason! Back already?" an old man walked up to them, smiling. Before he could answer, he said something more. "And you brought a beautiful girl with you." "Uriah, this is Rise, Rise this is Uriah," he chuckled. "You saved a spot for me?" Jason smiled. "Of course! Over there," he smiled and led them to a table. Jason sat down. "It was lovely to meet you," uriah grinned at Rise and then left.
Rise blushed and ducked her head. She smiled back. Rise sat down beside him.
Jason smiled at her. "So what do you want? My treat," he chuckled softly, giving her the menu.
Rise nodded and took the menu from him. She bit her lip as she looked over the menu. Meat, meat and more meat.
"We can share a piece of pie if you want, though I'm never sure if any girl wants that," he chuckled softly.
She picked up a napkin. That's fine. I don't mind.
"Yeah? It's your pick," he smiled.
"Sure," he smiled at her and ordered them a slice.
Rise stretched lightly and rubbed her eyes.
"So how have you been except for the arguing at your house?" he smiled slightly at her.
Rise shrugged. She had one good thing to look foreword to. Her brother coming home from the army.
"You don't know?" he chuckled.
My brother is coming home next week. She wrote on the napkin.
"He is? Where did he go?" he asked her softly.
"Oh. I had a brother in the army too," he said with a sad smile.
He's the only one at home that actually wants me.
Rise nodded and looked out the window.
"That's stupid, your parents... what's up with them?" he frowned.
Rise shrugged and grabbed another napkin. They've never actually wanted me. I was 3 when we figured out I was half mute. At they point my brother had to start making sure I got food and all that. If he hadn't threatened to call the police on them I would have starved to death by now.
"That... That's horrible," he told her softly, looking at her sympathatically.
Rise nodded slowly. She swiped at a tear running down her face. 10 days was all she had to wait before she didn't have to worry anymore.
He got up and went to sit next to her. "Hey, don't cry," he said gently. "I hate it when girl's cry," he chuckled softly
He wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "Don't let them get you down. They don't deserve a daughter like you."
He smiled slightly and gazed at her. He felt bad for her.
Rise sighed and put her head on his shoulder. She closed her eyes.
He gently hugged her close. "It's going to be okay."
Rise sighed and nodded a little. She hoped so.
"Just believe me?' he smiled slightly.
Rise nodded. ((Ugh. He needs to learn sing language or something.))
((Ah, yes lol))"Could you teach me a litttle sign,language?" He grinned at her.
"Okay, any basics? Like.. hello?" He chuckled.
"Nevermind," he laughed at his own stupidity.
"Okay, what about... 'how are you'?" He suggested.
