Started in the Middle of the Series

I randomly picked up this book at a store (I can't remember which one), not knowing that it was the second one in the series, which I see as both a blessing and a curse. Reading it from a middle of the series POV, I wanted to be able to say that I had read the first one, but on the other hand, THIS WAS A FANTASTIC BOOK. I loved it and I might get the first one and read that. Will it ruin the whole experience for me?

no , it wont you will understand the characters (adam and mia) more , the first book is about mia's pov , so yeah you must read the first book too ,its a must =))

I never start books in the middle of the series, cant do it. sorry..

you should really read If I Stay that is if you still haven't. wont take a lot of time its quite a small book.
