I never feel that I have to read every book that is picked .Some I have read and some I would never read but I like seeing what is picked and possible adding the book or pushing it up my TBR list.I love fiction and not a big fan of non fiction but that is the beauty of 52 books .I pick and choose.BTW if you change the format you would have to change the name of the group lol

I've joined late, but read 8 of the books so far. I'm reading a greater variety of books and really loving the suggestions. Every week or every other week would be great. Thank you.

hi Mary, thanks. There is a list on the bookshelf - the books are there in order.

I just joined this group. I am planning on doing the challenge next year, so I'm finishing up with my list of what I definitely want to read now before the end of the year. I'd love to be a participant next year. Please continue!
I also wanted to say keep the book a week. thank you so much. as a disabled veteran, I look forward to it every week.

Thanks, Mary!
Having just joined, I hope the group continues with a book chosen perhaps every other week. How have you chosen the bold this year? Debra
I had set a 52 book goal for the year, and am about a book behind right now. Just joining this group now, I think I like the 2 books / month idea, just to give options to read other books. I did check the list, and I've read about 13 of the books on the list, and have quite a few others on my to-read list :) looking forward to next year with you all!

Thanks, Ceylan - welcome!

I prefer fiction but am always open to some nonfiction. It is great that Catherine's column has generated so many followers and so much reading and discussion. One or two books monthly would be plenty for most people, I suspect.

Thanks, Deb!
I like the 1 book a week format. Although I haven't read all the books chosen this year, it has given me a nice to-be-read list.
Catherine, has a format been decided at all? Do you have an idea how it will proceed? Do you know which books will be read so we can make sure we have access to them? Thanks!!!!

Thanks!!!!"I think half of the fun of this group is the surprise of not knowing what the weekly book is until the Friday before. I don't read all of them I pick and choose and there is no pressure to read it the week it was picked.Catherine picks off the bestseller lists so there would be no way to pick ahead of time .
I'm still cogitating on how the group will continue next year - I think I will keep the one book a week format but I'll add a group vote element too and it will be a mix of surprises and planned reads ... stay tuned and thanks for your input!

I also like the fact I am not under any pressure to read unlike some other groups on goodreads. You do make it easy!

Many have entered my TBR list.
Keep it up in whichever form the group decides, it will be fine with me.
Have a great holiday break everyone :)
Chava, you are a brave woman to have 3 kinder age 3 and under and part of book clubs? wow you are brave!!!! keep the spirit going!!!!
I'm glad this group is continuing. Joined late last year but have read about ten of the books. Would love to be able to do it from the start this year.
I just started in the group the end of the year. I like the choices picked and have read some of the books that you have picked this year. I think the group should continue. I think announcing four book selections the beginning of each month would be a good idea. This would give the readers a chance to get the books ahead of time.
