I never did read Fault in Our Stars. Do you watch the movie? Is the movie true to the novel?

Yeah, I watched the movie. I really enjoyed it, and thought they did a fairly good job on it. I mean of course they aren't going to do a perfect job on the movie, but I thought all in all it was pretty good! It was definitely condensed but they didn't cut out and really main parts. And they us direct quotes from the book.

I read The Lord of the Rings three times when I was younger; I loved it, but oddly enough I've never seen the film. I should probably read at least one Harry Potter, I think I'd enjoy it.Possibly my favourite novel in English is Bright Day by J.B. Priestley and I've read that four times in the last 20 years I think. Also the two earliest books by Heinrich Böll.
Harry Potter should absolutely go without saying; it was the series that started my love of reading! I've also read Are You My Mother? twice: once for my women's lit class in college and again a few weeks ago. Both times were great, but emotionally taxing, fun.
