"I was hoping that you would like to have dinner with my family tonight." She said but when she came in her mood completely changed almost in a scary way. "Wren was here." She grumbled smelling the sweet lilac mint perfume that Wren oftenly wore.

Aleks shrugged, scratching his wrist. "Yeah, she was here earlier," he explained offhandedly. "I needed her help with something, she was free. And I would absolutely love to come to dinner with your parents."
Susan smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I'm glad that she's gone." she kissed him gently but felt like for some reason he wasn't as into her as she thought he was but assumed it was maybe because he was thinking about how to dress.
Aleks kissed her back, before gently pulling away. "You must be freezing. Sit down, I'll make you some tea." He moved into the kitchen, setting the kettle on the stovetop. He'd filled the kettle with holy water earlier, to tell if Susan had anything to do with what must be going on.
Susan took a seat in the livingroom looking at the nicely framed picture of him and Wren. The picture looked almost like they were about to kiss. Picking it up it shattered in her grip the glass and the frame. She scrame out with a piece of the glass stuck in her hand. That actually pissed her off to where she clenched her other hand throwing the frame part across the room.
Aleks jumped at the sudden noise, looking around the corner and into the living room. "Susan, is everything alright?" He called, reaching into a drawer near him to pull out a package of salt.
"Yes." She said pulling out the glass from her palm. "Your picture just shattered the one of you and Wren."
Aleks put the salt back in his pocket, going out to check the damage. "Oh, this was one of my favorites," he admitted absentmindedly, picking up the frame with a wistful look on his face.
"I'm so sorry." She faked the appology she couldn't stand Wren.
Aleks shrugged, taking the picture out of the frame. "It's okay," he said, looking up at her. "Oh, you're hurt, what happened?"
"The glass had shattered and one of the pieces got stuck in my hand,"She explained, "I took it out."
"Oh, let me get something for that." Aleks went back into the kitchen, pulling a medical kit from the medicine cabinet. He grabbed his flask of holy water as a second thought, taking them both back into the living room. "Here, give me your hand."
Susan trusted him and did as she was told.
Aleks took Susan's hand, taking a strip of gauze from the medical kit and pouring the water from the flask onto it, then dabbing at her hand, looking up to see her reaction.
It was burning really badly what ever the hell he was using. "What the hell are you using?" She asked her throat starting to swell a little bit.
Aleks stepped back, grabbing the salt from his back pocket. "That shouldn't hurt you, it's holy water."
"What's the salt going to do Aleks?" She asked looking at him with a smirk. "It's not going to help you or Wren as a matter of fact."
"What are you?" Aleks hissed, grabbing the wrecked picture frame from the floor from where it was broken, leaving two stakes. Pure iron, silver paint, it was invented for just this kind of purpose.
Susan's fangs came out, "Don't play stupid."
"Vampire," he hissed, readjusting the makeshift blades in his hands. They weren't the most effective, but they'd do for now. "Then you must know what I am."
"Yeah," She hissed walking over to him. "I know about your precious soul mate as well." She finished referring to Wren in a tart tone. "I never liked her around you because she would always get too close to kissing you."
Aleks hissed, taking a step back. "Witch blood, really? Ritual, or do you just want my blood, leech?" He hissed. Then, a light seemed to appear above his head. "It's the soulmate blood, isn't it?"
"Wren's blood would be rather tasty." She admitted as she licked her cut after the sizzling stoped.
Aleks tensed. "It won't work. Everyone who's tried it has failed. You can't just obtain magic, it's a myth. No matter how many soulmates you kill."
She walked to him, "Are you worried about Wren?"
"Well if you go to dinner with my family you will get to see her." She said with a smirk knowing that her father was at the house tormenting the girl.
"Don't worry about me doing it." She smirked wider taking his hand ready to take him with her.
"I don't care who did it," he hissed, shoving the improvised blades into the sheathes in his boots. "I'll kill every one of you bastards."
"Come on sweet heart."She took him out walking very fast making it to her parents house with in 17 minutes.
Aleks rubbed at his injured wrist, feeling uneasy. He didn't like the idea of this, going in alone. "How do I know this isn't a trick?
She opened the door to the house and Wren was screaming out in pain as Susan's father whipped her for the seventh time.
Alexs broke out from Susan's grip, throwing himself between Wren and Susan's father. He glared at Susan, eyes darting to the blades in his boots.
Wren looked at Aleks and hugged to him. The father didn't whip again but he laughed a little bit.
Wren looked at him her brown eyes filling with tears.
"I've got you Wren, it's okay," he told her, holding her closer. "I'm not going to let them hurt you again, I'm so sorry."
She buried her face in his chest her curly hair tangled and in her face.
"We want your blood!" the father yelled looking at Aleks. "You're going to also give me a grandson.Or your Wren will die."
Aleks blanched, tightening his arms around Wren. "Alright, have my blood. Whatever. And if Susan wants a kid, fine, but leave Wren out of this."
Wren cried more into his chest not wanting him to go through with it. She wanted him to be with her not have to cope with Susan.

"You cannot sneak around with Wren you're to be married to my daughter first thing in the morning."

"You cannot sneak around with Wren you're to be married to my daughter first thing in the morning."
Aleks looked between them. "How do I know you won't hurt Wren the moment I leave her sight? Excuse me if I'm not jumping to trust you leeches."
"You won't because you'll be focused on your bride."
"No," Aleks demanded. "I want proof that she's okay, or I swear, I'll jump of the damn roof, so bite me, blood-sucking bastards."
Susan immediately pushed Wren away and bit Aleks hard enough to almost break the artery.
Wren got up and took her boot off and chucked it at Susan's head which stunned her enough to get her to let go of him and fall to the floor. Wren ran to him and scrame at Susan to leave him alone.

"Wow this girl really is your soul mate. Does she have the same magic as you do?" the father asked.
