Despereaux's point of view

The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo has lots of characters and their points of view. This summary of one of those characters is the main one, Despereaux. Despereaux Tilling was a brave mouse, who was unlike other mice. One day, in his village, which was inside a castle, at the castle's royal library, he read an adventurous book about a knight on a quest to save a princess. However, the other mice in Despereaux's village had this big rule about being a coward. So when they found out that he met the princess of the castle, he was sent to the rat's world. Fortunately, he was okay. But then the same princess that Despereaux had met was kidnapped by those rat. So he went out on an adventure to save the princess and to fight the rats. He succeeded on this adventure, and the princess was saved. His success convinced the mice of his village to be brave, and Despereaux had many other adventures. And they all lived happily ever after, like any fairy tale like this one would end.
