Read-a-thon

Oh my summer has come and gone ...I feel like a terrible mod because I completely forgot about our read-a-thon.

For those of you who do not know a read-a-thon is people reading alone or in a group for 24 hours. You can can do it all in a day or over a weekend. No more than three days and they should be close together or we kind of loose the fun.

Keep in mind this is totally just for fun. I have done it in a group as well as alone..totally more fun in a group!

If people are interested we can run it from October to December.

Sorry Dawn, wanted to post it sooner. I'm in too. How could I resist, I love read-a-thons. *happy grin*

Are you think read 24 hours hours in 3 days? That kind of thing? Is a good idea.

First one I ever participate had a few members that worked by shifts or from different time zones or working weekends, so what we ended up doing was setting a week were participants commit to a total of 24-hour reading, that could be split as follows:
1. One 24-hour reading period.
2. Two 12-hour reading periods.
3. Three 8-hour reading periods.
4. Four 6-hour reading periods.

So each one could choose the period more convenient.

I think either two days @12 hours or three days @8 hours.
