Does anyone else think that the new covers are better then the originals?

I love hp but I think that that original covers paint the series a little childish and I feel that the new special edition covers really show the epicness of the series.What do you think?

Aren't the American versions of HP different from canadian? If so, then i think the original cover is better.

I love the original American covers, probably because I grew up with them. But I like the new ones too, and I like that they all match up to form a picture on your shelf. I'm probably going to get them for christmas because I'm missing a few books that got 'borrowed' over the years.

Oh, these covers are gorgeous! The one for Sorcerer's Stone is the best - it just oozes atmosphere. It pulls you into the magical world so wonderfully. The rest are pretty good, but Order of the Phoenix (thestrals!) and Chamber of Secrets (the Burrow!) are particularly good.

I like the old covers but the new covers are more vibrant and I do like them much better. I think the depict the story and characters better.

I do like the new covers and the story elements that they include are great and well chosen. In that regard, though, the last two seem weaker than the earlier installments. However they are good graphically and I'm not sure what story elements I'd pick to represent their contents either.

I definitely think the new ones look more kiddish than the originals. I like the originals much better. I think they capture the series better than the new ones. Plus with the originals, it starts a little kiddish but the covers mature as do the series and the characters in the books. I think it fits pretty well like that.

I love both. The originals will always bring that awesome HP nostalgia, but the new ones are really beautiful too. :)

With the new covers, I want to look at them for long periods of time and revel in the new-ness of them. Always thinking that they're rad and cool and other similar somethings.

But I'll always adore the originals more because those are the ones that I grew up knowing and those are the ones that I saw peeking out of my back pack when I toted them everywhere from school to my family's yearly hiking endeavors.
