So it turns out yodeling is also good for cleaning ;)I enjoyed the 1973 auditory hallucination today, in spite of being slightly nervous after the Disclaimer of Responsibility!
I was playing on my dvd player so I missed some of the song names but definite highlights included:
* Suspicious Minds - Elvis Presley
* San Franciscan Nights - Eric Burdon & the Animals
* House of the Rising Sun - The Animals
* My Sweet Lord - John Barrington
* I Can See Clearly Now - Johnny Nash
And I also liked The Clown story, it reminded me of a sad clown statue I loved in my youth.
Very evocative of a time on a back porch way back then :)
Pearl hangs in my family to. It's my mums middle name and my eldest sister.
Heidi wrote: "Okay, I'm double-timing it on the music sampling as I'm getting familiar with all your shebangs... i.e. I'm listening to some at home and I've almost gotten through all of them, almo..."I had so many nostalgic moments making this playlist too, I'm glad it evokes memories for other people too. And I totally get the rebellious and stupidly courageous feelings, I still get them!
I'm slowly devouring the sounds of this batch of Shebangs. Smetchens is really good for me right now. Barb's just keeps drawing me in more each time I listen to it. And, now, I must dance!
I still have some love and appreciation to come back and share, but on a general note you have all inspired a local shebang. Just weeks away from finishing at my current work we are doing our own shebang (and yes it is called a shebang in your honour) with 13 participants. So I will have many lovely musical memories of my co-workers to play beside your beautiful contributions to my musical world :)
I've listened to most of them now. MC and I have been listening to them on the mornings she drives to school. I haven't wanted to make any comments until she does. Her schedule is jam packed at the moment. She gets up at 5:30 does an hours piano practice, get her to school by 7:30 for either choir, orchestra, or strings ensemble. Gets home at 4:20, gets stuck into homework/ study I stop her at about 10pm to force her to bed. Fortunately 1st term only goes for another week then she has a two week break.
So far we have listened to:
Jonathan's. MC & I sang along to a few! Loudly! Great mix.
Mishas winter mix. Thankfully Celine didn't make it down here! A few faves from this combo.
Emily, it was quite a while ago now...
Heidi. the Irish was a bad influence on you. I preferred your earlier mixes. ;)
Barb, now I think MC and I saw a theme in there, I can't remember what it was right now. :)

MC shared the chicken yodel with a few of her closest friends on the weekend. She giggled all the way through it.
Funnily enough, so am I. It has been cool the last two days.

I'll wish for holidays so she can listen to the rest of them!
