Both of them have been shoved and pushed around from male to male, due to Rae's violent streak. Catarina grew up like most girls do. She lived a rather normal life. She never stood up against any of the staff, nor did she pick fights with the other girls. One day when she was six, a girl threw a rock at a window to see if it would break so she could run away. The glass broke, and a shard of it exploded out from the window and into Catarina's palm. Ever since, she had a scar there.
