I've never watched the movies or whatever they are, and I'm not sure if that'll be a problem. Is this strictly based on those?

No way. It only has slight flashbacks and info of the movies and comics.
Everything in my roleplay is an original idea of fanfiction roleplay...much like Harry Potter Roleplays i never stick to the old story...I make it years later and that way no one can copy from the movies.

So would it be easy for me to RP, do you think? I don't know anything about the movie and I don't want to start an RP that I'll be clueless about.

It should be pretty easy if you can make a character all of the information you need is there and if you have any questions clearly you can see you're free to ask.

You can make a Gamma or Delta that is fine.
