I have read all Harry Potter books - Not Beda the Bard story - plus The Casual Vacancy and The Cuckoo's Calling
I loved Harry Potter and liked her other two!

I would love to try The Cuckoo's Calling, it will probably be the first book I buy once I have finished the unread books on my kindle.
I've read Harry Potter 1-7 - some of the best books I have ever read :)

I've read them in English, French and Arabic (it was a long summer and I was incredibly bored) , but it's not the same if you're not reading them in their original language. Just like I can't imagine reading something by Hugo in anything other than French.

This is the problem of reading books translated. In Italian we say "Translator - Traitor" and it is not always so wrong.
But if you don't know the language, I say "Better than nothing". To stick to your example Charbel, I don't know french and I can't think of missing Hugo. Or Dostoevsky because I can't read russian, or Grass with German ...

This is the problem of reading books translated. In Italian we say "Translator - Traitor" and it is not always so wrong.
