REALLY!?!?!?! That's awesome. Like this year as in your doing it right now?

message 1302: by Saarah (new)

Saarah | 1899 comments Mod
yes! I was in public school, but my parents say that the school board gives us way to easy work. they took me out, so now i'm homeschooled. I actually have to agree with them, because in half a year, I can learn gr 7 and 8.

Ravanna Dee (ravannadee) | 2989 comments Mod
Lol, Same. Plus with all the new school things and rules their doing, its getting harder and harder to even talk in schools without getting in trouble for it. One of the reasons we aren't in public schools anymore, is because in my last year there, I was praying silently before I ate my lunch, and they sent me to the principles for that! I mean I wasn't doing anything wrong...but...?

Hey! Sorry was waiting for sister to get dropped off at home. My favourite classes was Theater and JROTC. We do block schedules so I have a set of different classes tomorrow but so far those two are my favorite classes. I am so excited to do theater, so many people said I should do it so I am.

You're all lucky to have groom weather!! :( It is so hot here that my feet started burning on the pavement. And the school has NO AC so it was and OVEN all day and it was so humid you could see it clear up to lunch. And don't even get me going about the lunch today! It was CRAP!!!! Bit the school was so HOT!!!! The only cool room was the theater.

Molly W Matt wrote: "its all cloudy out here and kind of gloomy, thats perfect reading weather for me!"

OMG same here. I love reading when it's overcasts and for some reason that kind of weather reminds me of Harry Potter, we must of been having bad weather when I read them.

Sorry I keep posting "I'm on" then the baby's end up screaming their heads off, and then I end up forgetting I was even on here at all. Sorry. Well I'll give you a heads up, I'm on for right now but I will be going to the gym shortly, then I'll be watching my uncles kids. Four of them. Ones like eight or nine, the other five then he also has a set of twins that are two. And My family will be watching them for four days. Ugh...It's going to be tiring.

message 1332: by Saarah (new)

Saarah | 1899 comments Mod

Yeah she does. Sorry was doing my math hw. *Bangs head furiously into desk* Maybe banging my head is counter productive? *Stops banging long enough to ponder this then continues banging* BRB mom wants to play just dance. Gonna whip her butt!! *Evil Laugh*

I can count on my hands the times my mom has played that game with me. Now my dad, well my dad, can be...Like me, on a sugar rush. I'm mean he goes all out. I should seriously tell you the time, he convinced my mom to let he and I walk into Walmart with bright red and purple wigs. Or the time when he was watching us when we were little and he made a swing in our basement with some rope and one of my moms ten pound weight thingy...It was awesome...lol..until it broke and my sister fell.

message 1335: by Ravanna Dee, Top Mod (new)

Ravanna Dee (ravannadee) | 2989 comments Mod
And my dad is definitely one of those fathers that says "Don't tell mom!"

message 1336: by SmilingDork (new)

SmilingDork | 2519 comments Mod
Lol!!! I am laughing so hard! My dad is not as funny as that but he is kinda like the "Don't tell mom" type, but he is also the rule enforcer and while he supports crazy ideas he will only go so far into them. He is also the type who likes to give speeches and lectures. And more recently he has come to give me little talks of how if a guys doesn't like me for me then he is not the guy for me. That I think is his favorite speech next to how now that I am older I need to take on more responsibility and stuff. I already have a lot as it is and now you want to hep more on! But I still love my dad and that is all that counts in my eyes.

Ravanna Dee (ravannadee) | 2989 comments Mod
Lol...My dad would keel over and die, if I even looked at a guy. lol. My dad says that one of the reasons he's teaching me boxing is because if in the future a guy decides to [in my dad's words] "Try to get fresh" with me, I can have him in a choke hold with a dislocated shoulder, before he even knows what hit him...lol..But seriously that is what he told me.

message 1338: by SmilingDork (new)

SmilingDork | 2519 comments Mod
That is funny!! Dad has taught me the basics of self defense...like VERY basics. I have always wanted to try boxing.

GTG!!!!! But hopefully I will be able to chat with you tomorrow.

By the way, is it weird that, pretty much all of you, [Saarah, Smiley, Matt, Mary Kate, Shine,] are pretty much my best friends, even though I have never actually seen any of you in real life?!!??!?! Because being homeschooled, and always on goodreads, working, reading, or now school....You don't actually get a lot of time to go out and make friends. ..lol...Plus over the years I have gotten just a little, shy, when it comes to starting a conversation with someone. Just a little.

message 1340: by Saarah (new)

Saarah | 1899 comments Mod
okay, to smiley and ravanna..

my dad is the kind who lets us get away with a lot of stuff. basically if that thing is not school, he's fine. my mom is the one who makes all the rules and keeps this house in order. my dad is also super adventurous, so he's always taking us to the park, picnics, fishing, etc. sometimes he goes shopping, to buy a couple of ingrediants, and he brings home like 5 bags of chips and cookies for us!

and to Ravanna...not at all! I feel the same with you guys and a couple of other GR friends that i've gotten to know well. I can relate to you people most, especially 'cause none of my other friends like to read.

message 1341: by SmilingDork (new)

SmilingDork | 2519 comments Mod
I consider you guys some of my best friends too! And very relatable because we all share a vast majority things in common and I love that I have friends to talk about booms with. It is SO hard to find good book readers and good friends. ;P

My mom is strict like my dad though they aren't über life or death strict they are strict enough that I feel like I choking on a leash some days but they are still pretty awesome and love to have fun and are always up for a good laugh and a delicious baked good.

message 1342: by SmilingDork (new)

SmilingDork | 2519 comments Mod
Then there are some days where I feel like Rapunzel locked in her tower but most days mom and dad are learning that they can let me live a little more each day and not keep me so restricted (Idk if this is the right word I am looking for. Probably not, but it is hard to put into words how my parents are) They are equally fun and relaxing but also strict and ruthless (Kidding on that one) ;P
