Hi :) So here are the few ideas that I had.

1. ~~~ is a princess but she'd not very good at it. She's just not princess material. So her parents call her in a tutor to help her. She falls for him but it turns out he's a prince and is actually engaged to her 'perfect' older sister who is everything a princess should be.

2. ~~~ and *** find a genie and it's the two of them making their wishes. I was thinking that they were childhood best friends but ~~~ abandoned *** and broke their heart. While their making these wishes they end up making up.

3. So in this one, superheroes are real. ~~~ has just discovered their powers and tries to go out and fight crime. *** is the city's superhero, they find ~~~ and decide to teach them how to become a superhero.

4. ~~~ died in (whatever time sounds cool) but they didn't stay dead. They woke up, appeared in town one day with no clue what was going on. *** is just normal, nothing extraordinary had ever really happened in their life until ~~~ showed up.

5. Shifters other than werewolves are considered taboo, dangerous and outcasts but most of all, extinct. ~~~ is a (whatever sounds cool) shifter who's been living their life in hiding until one slip up and *** found them. I want that to be kind of action.

6. A fairytale twist, depending on which one.

I want at least a bit of romance in them all because I am such a sucker for romance. I only to m/f and I really prefer to be the girl but if you want we could double up, that is if you're interested in any of them. If not, I'm kind of open to most stuff.

message 3: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Ooo. Okay I'm fine with that. I'm a sucker for romance too ^.^
Would you mind doing doubles?

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Not at all. What were you thinking?

message 5: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Well I love all of your ideas but I really like the first one and the fourth one. So we could use the two of them if you like ^-^

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, I'm up for that. Which parts would you like to be?

message 7: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Could I be the princess for the first one please?
And I don't mind for the other one.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah no problem, I'll be the secret prince/tutor.
And for the other one, I'll be the normal girl so you can be the boy from any time you feel like, if that's alright.

message 9: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Okay dokie :3
So characters now? How detailed do you usually do?

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

I usually just do basic. Name age and appearance.

message 11: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments That works for me. Okay. I'll go make mine now.
Oh. For the princess one, when would you say it's set?

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

I'd go with modern day because I find that a lot easier to write but would you want it set in a different time?

I'd also make up countries or something for that one, makes it easier for OCs.

message 13: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments No modern day is fine. I just want sure because that sort of thing can be done in a number of different time periods. ^~^
Okay

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Alright awesome, I'll make mine now :)

Leah leaned against the counter with her arm resting on the table while she flicked through the pages of the book she was reading. It was a slow day at the store, something that wasn't uncommon considering the town was pretty small. She tucked a stray lock of blonde hair behind her ear and sighed to herself. She just wanted a bit more excitement, a bit more adventure, a bit more romance. She wanted something more like was a heroine in a book would have. But she was stuck. Stuck in a normal, boring life who's only twist was when her father decided he was going to come home from one of his business trips that lasted a few months each.

~~~
James sighed, running his hands over his face as he leaned back in his seat on his private jet. He was heading over to meet his fiance and the girl he was supposed to be tutoring. He had only ever met the two princesses a handful of times, only ever getting to meet the younger one that he was to be teaching once when they were children. The rest of the time it seemed like they didn't bring her anywhere or she just didn't show up. There was a reason why he was supposed to be teaching her how to be a proper princess, like her sister. He had only met the older princess a few more times than the younger but the marriage wasn't about love. It was about treaties and alliances.
As the plane touched down, James got ready to be Jay, the normal, everyday tutor that he was supposed to be for the next few weeks while he was teaching Princess Lilliana.
message 21: by Rachel (new)
Rachel | 11144 comments Andrew frowned as he stumbled through the town. Where was he? What had happened to him? Why did everything look so different? He looked around trying desperately to find the answers. Not even five minutes before he had woken up to find himself trapped underground. Fearing for his life he screamed and somehow managed to dig himself out of the earth. Had he been buried alive? Everything seemed so fuzzy from before he fell asleep. He rubbed some dirt from his eyes before bursting into a store, hoping to find someone who could give him some answers. "H-hello?" He croaked out his vocal chords stiff from disuse. He tried not to panic too much as he staggered over to the counter where a young lady sat.
~
"Lilliana! Are you still in bed?!"
Lily groaned as her mother's shrill voice woke her up. She rolled over and put the pillow over her face and pulled her covers over that so she could go back to sleep. She nearly made it but the horrified shriek that came from her mother upon stepping into the teen princess's bedroom was enough to wake the dead. "Lilliana! This is unacceptable." She scolded and tore the covers from the bed. "Up. Now. You cannot expect me to allow you to meet with your new tutor when you aren't dressed properly and your bedroom looks like something exploded in it." Lily muttered under her breath as she got up and roughly made her bed which only resulted in her getting a smack across the back of her head. "The tutor arrives in less than an hour. Make sure you are presentable." With that her mother left the room.
Still muttering to herself about how unfair everything was Lily walked over and slammed the door shut, knowing it would frustrate her mother. They had been arguing for weeks over the need for another tutor but obviously Lily had lost and being the sore loser and stubborn girl she was, that didn't make her very happy.
message 23: by [deleted user] (new)
((Sorry! I didn't even see that you'd replied.))
Leah looked up from her book as the bell jingled when the door opened. She looked up with a smile, ready to greet the customer but instead she was shocked with the man standing in front of her. Her was dusted with dirt and his voice was hoarse and rusty from lack of use. Leah jumped up from her seat and rushed over to him, pulling her seat around and guiding him into it. "Are you alright? I'm Leah. What's you name?" She asked him, trying to stay calm when she was really panicking.
~~~

James arrived at the palace in a relatively modest car. It wasn't like the limo he would usually take. It was smaller, more inconspicuous. He wasn't sure why the king and queen had wanted him to keep his identity a secret from her, the rest of the family knew who he was and about his engagement to the older princess.

Stepping out of the car, he hadn't even finished walking up the steps when the door was opened by an aged man. "Oh Prince- I mean Jay. It's lovely to meet you again," The queen greeted, shaking his hand with an award winning smile.

"The pleasure's mine your highness," he replied, shaking her hand with a smile of his own. "Where's your daughter? I haven't actually been able to meet her yet."

message 24: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments ((Oh it's okay ^.^))

Andrew sat down in the seat and put his head in his hands as his whole body shook. "My name is Andrew Donaldson." He told his voice still hoarse. "W-where am I? What happened to me?" He asked her as he lifted his head to look at the girl standing beside with the panicked look on her face. He was momentarily ashamed that he had caused her to be distressed but he was too confused and distressed himself to be able to feel fu regret for it. As he tried to speak again his body protested and gave him a violent fit of coughs that ripped through his body and tore at his already aching throat.

~

The Queen gave the young man a tight lipped smile upon the mention of her youngest daughter. "She is just on her way down right now." She told him, using as much kindness as she could. When it came to her second daughter she never had much patience which was part of the reason why they required the tutor in the first place.

Lily was rushed out of her room and down the stairs when the car pulled up outside. "Alright. I'm going." She rolled her eyes and walked down the stairs as fast as she could. The dress her mother had decided she would wear was ridiculously over the top but she had got her own back by wearing the converse trainers her mother despised so much. She stood behind the doors at the front and fixed her hair and outfit to make sure she was presentable before sticking her head around the door and getting a good look at the guy who was to make her life difficult. Before she could properly judge her mother caught her and the look she received was one that even she wouldn't argue with.
Doing her best not to trip up she walked outside and over to where the two of them stood, wearing her best smile.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Leah looked around frantically as Andrew went into a coughing fit. She grabbed her bottle of water from where she had it behind the counter, unscrewed the top off as fast as she could and handed it to him. "Listen Andrew. You're gonna be alright okay?" Leah said, trying to comfort him as best as she could. "You're in a book store in Rosemount and I have absolutely no idea what happened to you. We'll find out though, alright? You're gonna be fine. Is there anything I can get you? Anyone I should call for you?" Leah asked him, leaning down a bit so she was at eye level with him.

~~~
James nodded, smiling politely at the queen. He wasn't thrilled himself about taking the job of tutoring the youngest princess but he had been told by his parents that Lilliana's parents were desperate to find someone to teach her how to behave like a proper princess. He was reluctant at first, especially since he was already quietly engaged to her older sister. He'd only been able to meet her a few times but the marriage was about anything but love. It was just an alliance his parents and hers were discussing for peaceful relations between their two countries.
When he spotted Lilliana coming towards them with a smile, he returned it, letting his eyes scan over her. First impressions were everything when it came to being royalty. One wrong move and it tainted your image forever. Her hair was decent, her dress perfect but she was wearing converse. While James did enjoy dressing casual himself, a first professional meeting was no place for it. Especially for a princess. "Princess Lilliana, a pleasure to meet you," James said, holding out his hand for her to shake with a smile. "I'm Jay. Jay Patson. I'll be your tutor," he said, using his fake name. Apparently her parents hadn't wanted her to know that he was actually a prince teaching her and thought she would respond better to someone who wasn't royalty.
message 26: by Rachel (new)
Rachel | 11144 comments Andrew took a drink of the water and let it soothe his burning throat. "Thank you." He said once he was able to speak again. He looked around the bookstore and saw the room filled with things he couldn't even try to put a name to. He looked at the girl, Leah she had said her name was, a slight frown on his dirt covered face. "This is going to sound mad but w-what year is it?" He asked, not answering her questions just yet. Ideally he would love to talk to him mother but if his suspicions were right then the chances were that wouldn't be possible. He sipped at his water so that his throat didn't hurt quite so much.
~
Lilliana could feel her mother's horror at her choice of footwear and so decided to play nice so she didn't get herself into any more trouble. "The pleasure is mine Mr Patson." She said politely as she took the man's hand in her dainty one. She shook it gently and then withdrew her hand to her side. "But please, it's just Lily." She added in a less formal tone. While having a title was something the rest of her family adored it was the one thing Lily hated the most. Even just her first name was something she would rather not hear regularly but her mother was all about tradition and doing things properly. She was Princess to everyone but family, Lilliana to her family, and nicknames were strictly forbidden. Of course the more things that her mother told her not to do the more Lily got frustrated and did them anyway.
She looked her new tutor up and down, giving a slight nod of approval. He wasn't so bad looking and he seemed nice so far. Maybe she could learn to like him. Her final opinion on that subject though could only be decided once he started teaching her.
Andrew was right. It did sound mad. They were more than halfway through the year, everyone should have know what year it was. Furrowing her eyebrows just a bit, Leah looked at him, taking in his strange clothes that looked much too old for him to be wearing. "It's uh, 2015," she answered, before taking her bag from under the counter and pulling out another bottle of water for him that she set beside him for when he would need it. "Are you feeling any better?" she asked him, genuine concern in her eyes.
~~~

James was impressed with her tone, her smile, her handshake and how polite she was. He was starting to think that he didn't really have his work cut out for him and all he would have to do is correct a few annoying mistakes and teach her some rules. Then she corrected him with a nickname. He tried to bite his tongue, keep quiet and just wait till later on but he couldn't. She was a princess meeting someone for the first time. It would be different if she was trying to impress someone, improve relations or form a healthy relationship with different leaders of the country. Except it wasn't. It was a professional, first meeting.

"And to family and friends you can be Lily but when you're introducing yourself to someone for the first time, it's Lilliana," he corrected again, not stuck up or arrogantly because he didn't want to offend her, especially in front of her mother. He could already tell that the two of them had a tense relationship.

Rachel | 11144 comments Andrew looked at her in shock. 2015. That was a century after he remembered coming home. The memory slowly came back to him. He had been ill and he had come home to see his mother and his fiancé because he knew he was dying. "I'm supposed to be dead." He whispered, his hold tightening on the water bottle in his hand as he tried to comprehend what he had just said. He snapped out of his own world and looked at Leah realising she had asked him something. "No not really." He said softly as he composed himself. "Well at least physically I suppose I am yes." He added and frowned at the floor. How was this possible? The short answer was, it wasn't but that didn't explain how he was sitting a bookstore one hundred years after his death.

~

Lilliana tried not to frown but did an awful job. Barely two minutes she had spoken to him and he had already corrected her. He was going to be tutoring properly. She had stretched her hopes to that the man coming to make her into a proper princess would be relaxed about it and not be all that bothered but no, that was clearly not Jay's intentions. "If you say so." She said and smiled politely at him again.
She could feel her mother's insufferable joy at how she had just been corrected. Lily didn't enjoy always doing things wrong and getting into trouble for it but she hated how she was never allowed to act how she wanted to which was why she made such a big deal about doing it wrong. "If I may excuse myself for a few minutes, there's something I need to take care of." She glanced at her mother who just reluctantly nodded. Before her mother changed her mind Lily hurried inside and back up to her bedroom, locking the door once she was in the room. This was not going to be fun at all.

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

((I am so sorry. For some reason the notifications for this don't come up all the time.))

Leah frowned as she heard his whisper. If was faint and she knew it wasn't meant for her but she could have sworn that he had said that he was supposed to be dead. But that would make no sense. He couldn't be back from the dead, it was impossible. Except here he was in old clothes, covered in dirt and surprised by the year it was. "Are you sure you're okay?" She asked him, leaning her hip against the counter. "Can I ask why you're all covered in dirt and disorientated?" She asked him softly, not wanting him to get upset by the question in case he was crazy or something like that. She wasn't sure what was going on, she just knew that she wanted to help him.

~~~
James clenched his jaw as she excused herself. It was going to be a lot harder than he had originally thought. The shoes, the manners, the complete and utter reluctance to be taught. He still wasn't sure why he let his parents rope him into this whole tutoring business. It was horrible. The last place he wanted to be was teaching some princess how to do her job. She should have been taught since she was a child, not let run around doing whatever until her parents had to resort to calling in another royal. "It was a pleasure meeting you again You Highness," James said to the queen with a stunning smile before he nearly ran up after Lily. When he eventually reached her door, he knocked on it quickly. "Lilliana? Lily?" He called through he door, hoping that he'd open it for her so he could actually try to talk to her properly.
message 34: by Rachel (new)
Rachel | 11144 comments ((It's okay. Don't worry about it :) ))
Andrew looked at the girl and sighed. He felt awful for dragging her into this, whatever this was, but he was beginning to understand that he had no hope of figuring this out himself. He opened his mouth to explain to her what he was thinking but a thought made him hold back. What if she thought he was crazy? He didn't want to get locked up. The stories he had heard from people who ended up in the dreaded asylum made him shudder. "You won't get me locked up for telling you what I think is going on, will you?" He asked putting his trust in this stranger. He didn't know how much things had changed and so it was just safer to assume the worst until he found out.
~
Lily was lying on her bed, her face in her pillow. "Now he calls me Lily." She muttered bitterly. "Now he made me feel awful and put my mother in the best mood of her entire life he calls me Lily." She reluctantly pushed herself up and walked over to the door. She readjusted her dress so that she looked sort of presentable. Her hair had fallen down but she didn't care enough to fix that. "Yes?" She looked at him as she opened her bedroom door. She kept her voice polite and she even gave him a smile but it wasn't as enthusiastic as before. He was probably a really nice guy and had the circumstances they were meeting under different then she might even like him but he was here to tell her she was wrong and to make her into the person her mother wanted her to be.
message 35: by [deleted user] (new)
Leah laughed lightly as he asked her not to get him locked up. Nothing he could say could be crazier than what she had come up with as she thought about why he was here, what he was dressed like and why he was covered in dirt. "I promise. I mean, how bad can it really be?" She asked him with a shrug, looking out the window just in case any customers decided to come in whiles hey we're talking. Luckily there was no one so she looked back Andrew with curiosity in her eyes. "Go on, I'm dying to hear this," she told him with a small smile.
~~~

James had raised his hand to knock again when Lily opened the door. Dropped his fist back by his side, he smiled at her. He honestly hadn't been expecting her to open the door for him so he was pretty happy that she had. "I'm uh, sorry about that. I had to show the queen that I was serious about this. I could see you guys don't have the smoothest relationship so I probably should have waited. Sorry," he apologised, hoping that she'd accept his apology so he could do this whole tutoring thing right. She didn't seem very pleased about the arrangement but James wouldn't be either if he was in her position.

message 36: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 11144 comments Andrew smiled when she laughed. She had a nice laugh, the sort of laugh that made you want to join in. He took a breath and drank some more water. "Hear me out before you tell me I'm crazy." He told her and then bit her lip. "I was a soldier in World War One. I was in the trenches and I got ill. It was awful. I'll skip the details." He could remember that much clearly, after that it got slightly hazy. "I went home because it was obvious I was dying. I saw my mother. Then I don't remember. I'm assuming I died." He rubbed his temple before taking another drink of the water. "I woke up this morning. I thought I'd been buried alive. I got out somehow and made my way here. Then you know the rest." He looked at Leah and bit his lip worriedly. She would have to be really open minded to not think he was crazy after hearing that.

~

Lily looked his face over trying to find if he was genuine in his apology. She was often ignored at gatherings or even just family meals so she had been given plenty of time to study people and she had learnt to read their actions and expressions well. "It's fine." She said quietly and leaned against the door frame. "That's a really nice way of putting it. Don't have the smoothest relationship." She repeated with a smirk and pushed the loose strands of her hair out of her eyes. "Anyway, what exactly are you planning on doing with me?" She asked, aware that that sentence could be taken the wrong way but she hadn't had the best morning so far so she didn't really care.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

"That's crazy," Leah said as soon as he was finished. "Like really crazy. Impossible. But I don't think you're crazy. I mean, why would you go through the effort of getting the clothes and the dirt and all of this if you're crazy? Unless you're actually properly crazy but then I don't think you'd be thinking that you're crazy, if you're actually crazy. Confusing. You get me?" Leah said, tilting her head when she asked him. She shrugged her shoulders and smiled at him. "Anyway, if you're crazy, then I'm crazy because I believe you. You seem legit. I believe it. It's crazy as hell but I believe it," she told him. "You're like Captain America, a reference you will not understand," Leah said with a small laugh at herself for forgetting. "Don't worry, I'll help you catch up." She wasn't sure why she believed him but there was something genuine in his eyes that made her believe that he was telling her the truth.

~~~
James raised an eyebrow at her, a suggestive smirk on his lips once she'd asked the question. "Would you like me to do something with you?" He asked, his voice flirtatious as he did. "Sorry," he apologised immediately after, scratching the back of his head. "That was inappropriate. Sorry," he said, dropping his hand and holding it out to her. "I'm Jay, nice to meet you, again," he reintroduced himself, hoping that they could start over from the tense meeting they'd had earlier. "Basically, I was called in to teach you how to be a princess. That means a lot of walking, a lot of playing dress up, a lot of talking and a lot more rules to learn," he answered properly with a shrug.
Rachel | 11144 comments Andrew looked at Leah as she rambled through the confusing matter of being crazy or not crazy. He smiled slightly and nodded. "Yeah. I get you." He said softly and pushed his fingers through his hair. She continued to talk and he had very little idea what she was saying but he got the gist of it. She believed him and either they were both crazy or it was true. "Thank you." He said once she finally stopped talking. "You'll catch me up?" He raised an eyebrow at her, not quite understanding what she meant. He finished the water bottle and then rubbed his head, getting more dirt on his face. That was another thing he would need to sort out. His clothes and all this dirt.
~
Lily smirked and leaned against the door frame as he flirted with her. She bit her lip to refrain from saying anything, knowing she would only get herself into more trouble if she did. She took his hand and gently shook it. "I'm Lily, it's nice to meet you too." She said softly before pulling her hand back. The list of things he told her he had to teach her seemed endless, and it made the smile fall from her face. "Did anyone ever consider what I wanted?" She whined and slumped against the wall. Before she had just been lightly leaning but now she was barely standing. "Like I don't know maybe I never wanted to be a princess which would mean I didn't have to do all that stupid stuff." She wasn't really talking to Jay now, she was just complaining in general. Her morning sucked and the small piece of flirting they had shared seemed to be the only good part but even that had to stop because it was 'inappropriate'.
((Sorry I went out :3))
((I'm actually gonna have to make a complaint or something because I'm getting like every other notification from you.))
Leah nodded with a smile. "Yeah, if you've been underground for like a hundred years then you have missed a lot. There was another world war by the way. They creatively called this one, World War Two. I'll get you up to date on history and pop culture and technology..." Leah started, trailing off as she started list off everything that he'd need to learn. "I mean, back in 1915, what did they have? Really old cars? You've actually got to promise me that you won't freak out when I show you everything," Leah said, realising that this was all probably way too much for him to handle.
~~~

James raised his hands as if hew as surrendering. "Hey, don't shoot the messenger. I'm just doing my job," he said before dropping his hands back down to his pockets. "Look, none of us ask for what we have. We're dealt our cards as we've gotta play with 'em. You didn't ask to be a princess and neither does your sister but she enjoys it while you don't. So you got dealt a card that you didn't like. Big deal. The test is to see if you can turn that bad card into a good hand," James told her, having thought about that problem many times before in his own life.

Rachel | 11144 comments ((That's weird. :3 sometimes redoing your notifications settings helps? Even if it's just for this topic you redo. If that makes any sense at all >.<))

Andrew looked at Leah and nodded slowly. "Right. Okay." He said unsurely. "Um another one? Did we even win the first one? Did we win either of them?" He asked and looked at her hopefully. Although he hadn't died in battle, his death was a consequence of fighting in the war and if he found out he had died for what to him would be nothing then he would be crushed. He listened to the things she listed and made a mental note of them. "Thank you, I really appreciate everything you've done and everything you're proposing to do but could I possibly trouble you for some clean clothes and somewhere to wash before all that?" He asked and glanced over himself pointedly.

~

Lily rolled her eyes at the mention of her sister. "Well everyone loves her, why wouldn't she enjoy it?" She muttered, a slight bitterness to her voice. She loved her sister, she really did, but she hated how everyone compared the two of them when they were clearly nothing alike. She was always being told to be more like her sister, or her sister was so much better than her, and various other things of similar meaning which just drove her mad. "Also in case you hadn't figured I'm not so good with tests. Academic, philosophical or whatever else." She pushed a smile back onto her face and stood straight again. "So unless you have anything else you'd like to tell me to make my day worse I would like to be left alone please."

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

Leah nodded in reply to his question. "Yeah, we won the first one and we won the second one too. So don't you worry, your effort didn't go in vain," Leah told him with a smile. She looked out the window, seeing Bryan's car pull up outside and looked at the time on the register. "And of course you can. My shift's just finished so you can come stay at my place for however long you want," Leah told him with a smile, walking around the counter and picking up her bag. "Come on," she told him, nodding her head towards the door.

~~~
James ignored her comment about her sister. He knew what it was like to have a sibling that everyone that was better than you. Except for him, he didn't have his brother anymore. He didn't think that he would miss him much because of how much he resented him but as soon as he was gone, James regretted every single moment he had ever spent resenting his brother. "I'm not going to give you any tests Lily. I'm just gonna push you away from the walls at whatever function is coming up and make you socialise with everyone," James replied with a grin. "And fine then. If you want me to leave I'll leave. But only for now. I'm here for weeks to turn you into a princess. We don't choose our cards, we just have to work with the ones we have."
Rachel | 11144 comments Andrew sighed in relief. At least it had gone right for their side. He would have to ask her more about that. Later though, there were more important things to address first. He stood up and smiled at Leah. "Okay. Thank you very much." He said before heading out of the bookstore. He stood just to the side of the entrance, squinting at the sudden brightness of outside compared to what it was inside, and he waited for her to join him. As his eyes adjusted he looked around the town. This was the place he had grown up in but he didn't recognise any of it. He watched the busy streets full of such modern technology that both baffled and amazed him.
Lily frowned at him. "That's worse than giving me tests to do." She sighed and shuddered at the thought. She didn't mind attending the functions but when the people there started to get obnoxious and think they could shove their opinion down her throat or even worse start talking to her about marriage she lost her temper. Which was why she tended to stay quiet and say nothing. "Wait. Don't go yet." She said, changing her mind quickly as her cheeks turned pink. Being alone was the worst feeling ever and she knew better than most people. She had gotten used to pushing people away that when someone tried to get close to her she freaked out and kept changing her mind on whether or not she wanted them with her or not. "Is it inappropriate to ask if you'd like to come in?" She looked at him and bit her lip shyly.
Leah led Andrew to her empty house that was only around the corner from the book store. The fact that she had an empty house was kind of upsetting for her but she was used to it at that point. Every since her mother died and her father's trips started to get more and more frequent. Unlocking the door, she held it open for Andrew and followed him inside, closing the door after the two of them. "Um, my dad's clothes will do for now but we can go shopping for you later," Leah told him, jogging up the stairs and into her dad's room. She pulled out a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt for Andrew and handing them to him.
~~~

James smirked and sent a quick wink to Lily. "That's the point," he replied teasingly. He was surprised when she invited him inside, he didn't think that she actually liked him but her invitation proved otherwise. He had to turn the idea over in his mind a few times before he shook his head with a smile. "Maybe. But you never know, if you ask I may just say yes," he replied, making sure to keep his eyes on hers and not the lip that she was biting shyly. He couldn't deny that she was beautiful and he had no idea why she didn't have more people admiring her but it was probably her sister. The same reason why he couldn't violate the student/teacher relationship that he had to build but building a friendship wasn't going against that.

Rachel | 11144 comments Andrew was constantly looking around them as they walked to her house. Everything was so different. He got inside and wiped off his muddy shoes the best he could. Frowning at how little difference his efforts made he just took them off as he didn't want to trail dirt through her house especially as she was being so kind to him. "Oh thank you very much." He took the clothes from her. "Do you have a bathroom or somewhere I can change?" He asked as he gave her his best smile.

~

Lily rolled her eyes at him. She ignored how her heart fluttered at his wink and how her knees felt weak at his smile. "Would you like to come in and talk?" She asked a slight smirk on her soft lips. She gently nudged the door open a bit further and took a small step backwards so he was able to walk in if that's what he chose to do. Unlike with most things in her life, Lily kept her room immaculately tidy. The only time it was ever a mess was when she had had a long day and just dumped everything on the floor or she when she was trying to find something to wear.

"Upstairs, first door you see. You can take a shower in there too. Everything you need is on the window sill. Towels are on the rack next to it," Leah answered with a smile, pointing towards the stairs. She realised that he probably wouldn't know how to work the shower and hoped that this all wasn't too overwhelming for him. "For the shower, lift it up and turn it to what temperature you want. Red's hot, clue's cold, you know how that works. You can adjust it to whatever one you want. Call me if you need anything alright?" Leah told him, smiling at him once again and hoping that she could help him.

~~~
James grinned and stepped inside of her room. He was surprised that her room was so neat and tidy considering everything that he had been told about her. He knew he had been judging her but with everything that he had been told about the princess, he definitely didn't expect that. "I would love to," he replied with a light laugh. "So, he asked her, moving his eyes from the room and back to Lily. "What do you like to do? If you're not interested in being a princess, what are you interested in?" James asked her curiously.
Rachel | 11144 comments Andrew listened to her directions and then her instructions on how to work the shower. "Okay. Got it. Thank you." He smiled at her and then walked up the stairs in his socks. He was overwhelmed but not by everything he was seeing and hearing. It was her willingness to invite him into her home and just help him in more ways than he would ever have expected that was overwhelming him. Once he got to grips with this modern world he would have to thank her spectacularly. He walked into the bathroom and put the clothes up the side. He locked the door with some difficulty then faced the shower. After nearly ten minutes of fumbling around he figured it out and the water started running. With a proud grin he stripped and then stepped into the shower.
Lily closed the door behind him and then walked over to her bed. She kicked her shoes off then sat down on it, tucking her feet underneath her. "Sit wherever you like." She told him, gesturing to the couple chairs in her room. His questions caused her to frown. This wasn't something she had ever needed to answer before and it meant she had to really think about her reply. "Uh I don't know. Stuff. Anything else really." She told him with a shrug. "I like music but I don't have any musical talent so if you value your hearing you won't make me go anywhere an instrument," she paused and thought about it. "I like drawing but I'm not much good at that either."
Leah waited anxiously for the sound of running water upstairs. She wasn't sure whether she had done the right thing in just letting him go off and use the shower himself. She didn't know whether she should have gone up and help him do it. She was debating whether she should go up and offer him help when heard heard the water start. With a small sigh of relief, she moved into the kitchen and started making dinner for the two of them. She wasn't sure what type of food he liked so she decided to just go with hot dogs.
~~~

James nodded, walking over to a chair across from her and sitting down on. He was surprised when it took her a while to answer his question. It was a pretty simple one, one that usually opened up conversations for him all the time. Her hesitating worried him a bit. Either she had absolutely no substance or she just wasn't used to answering the question. He was inclined towards the second option and that kind of upset him. She was more than a forgotten princess, she was a forgotten child. "Aw come on Lily, there's gotta be something you love. Something that you do when you're in here, something that you look forward to doing every day," he persisted, sure that there was more to her than that.

Rachel | 11144 comments Andrew didn't want to take too long in the shower but since there was so much dirt it took a while to wash off. Finally clean he turned off the shower and stepped out, grabbing a towel and drying off. Once he was dressed in Leah's father's clothes he gathered his dirty ones and walked back down to her kitchen. He walked into the room to find her cooking and smiled slightly. "I wasn't sure where I should put these." He said gesturing to the bundle of clothes under his arm as he walked over to her. With his free hand he ran his fingers through his damp hair, moving it so that the drops of water didn't run down his face.

~

Lily smiled at his prompting. It was oddly nice to have someone who was genuinely interested in what she had to say. Even her sister had begun to stop caring, or at least that was the impression she gave. "Well there is one thing I guess." She admitted, an excited shine in her eyes that hadn't been there until now. "Come on. I'll show you." She jumped up from her bed and went over to the door in the corner of the room. She unlocked it and started to walk up the steps in her bare feet but stopped when she realised she didn't know if he was following or not. She reversed down a few of the narrow, worn steps and looked over her should to see if he was coming.
