After a little while he slow,y woke up and started to panic. He didnt know why,but his breathing started to get heavy and his eyes darted around tge room
Eden realised that his eyes had opened so she went to him and said quietly and softly," Hey, are you okay?". She smiled down at him and pushed his hair back.
He turned away from her and cried softly. Hefeltguilty for what he said earlier, and he broke down. "Im s-sorry" he cried
Eden frowned and shook her head, she rubbed away his tears and said softly," Don't be, honestly. Everything's okay". She nodded and smiled, she didn't need his apology, she was okay.
"Im sorry, do I know ypu?"he asked softly "i dont think you introduced yourself" he told her "My name's Derrick"
Eden's eyes suddenly widened. She pulled back her hands and placed them in front of her. "I'm Eden. We met before you tried to kill yourself", she replied quietly, looking away from his eyes and at the ground.
"Wh-What?!?" He looked bacck at her. "Why would I-" he asked her. He strted to panic again and breathed heavily
She realised what she had said, she laughed and said," Im kidding, you didn't try to kill yourself", she lied, but it was hard to see that she was lying. She smiled and said," We know each other okay? No more questions, do you want anything?".
"I dont know you. Why would I trust you? He asked softly. Deep down he felt he could trust her, but this was so confusing for him. Who was she. Why the hell was he in a hospital? Why did his head hurt so much? All these questions. No answers.
Eden shrugged slightly," I don't know why you should trust me, to be honest I'm harmless. But I can leave if you want me to". She looked at him and raised her eyebrows, poor guy just lost everything. It saddened her deeply to see him so confused.
"You're the only one i have riht now. My parents died, an Ive been on my own for the past three years." He told her, he tried to sit up. "Please stay" he aske dsoftly
"I will stay, it wouldn't be nice if i left you by yourself", Eden said, sitting back down and sighing. She gave him a wicked smirk and then said," Besides, what would the people in our school think if I left such a guy like you?".
"Am I popular in scholl?" He asked her. It kinda took him by surprise, he never thought he'd be popular. He leand towards the table and tried to reach his drink.
Eden sighed and got his drink for him, she looked at him and said," You're new, so no one knows who you are just yet". She didn't want to cause him any stress so she'd tell him the basics.
"Then why would they care if you left me here?" He asked and took a drink. He sat itback down and looked at her, waiting for an answer. He knew he was probably getting on her nerves, but he needed to know, what exactly happened
"No ones knows about your accident, but soon enough they will. I was being sarcastic, genius. Now no more questions, the doc gave me specific instructions", she said strongly. She looked away from him and out of the window, she hoped he remembered soon enough.
"Wha-" he sighed and laid down. "Atleast answer this. Were we.. together?" He asked with a slight blush. He kne whe crossed theline then, and it was a only a matter of time.
Eden smiled slightly and shrugged," To be honest I have no idea how to answer that question myself". She looked at him and smiled sadly, she truly didn't know what they were. Whatever they were, they had to start from scratch.
"Oh.. thats fine i guess." He said as he started to get the urge again. "Can i touch you?" He asked softly, wondering if she know about the random urges he got
Eden looked at him, she looked into his eyes, trying to find something in him that she didn't even know. She nodded and came closer," Yes, but don't get too cocky". She gave him a soft and joking laugh, trying to lighten the mood.
He scooted closer and started massaging her back. This way they couldbothenjoy it. He knew he was pushing it, but she wasnt minding it. This confused him more. Any other girl would hit him for it
Eden closed her eyes and let her head fall back, she sighed and then smiled to herself. She let him touch her for a while, but then she caught his hands and looked at him,"Not anymore, now rest".
Before he knew it he had her turned around and he pressed his lips to here. Only for a second, before pulling away and laying down.
Eden was surprised, but she smiled to herself and then sat down in the chair beside his bed. She sighed to herself and hoped that he got better soon. Very soon.

Eden had let him hold her hand, she was glad. After a few hours of letting him rest she walked back into his room quietly with a cup of coffee. She saw that he was awake,"Hey there, you're awoke".
He sighed in relief. He thought she left him. "H-Hey. Sorry for the whole kiss thing." He said nervously, with a slight blush. He trie dto sit up and groaned at his head. But he managed to sit up
Eden sat next to him and smiled,"It's fine". She sipped her coffee and then looked away from him," We've done much more than just a peck on the lips", she muttered slightly.
"Really?" He looked in disbelief. "How would a guy like me, get such a pretty girl like you?" He asked softly, and looked at her coffee. It sounded really good right now, but he knew he shouldnt drinkit
Eden laughed," Thanks. We aren't much different, we had a lot of things in common, so we clicked". She gave him a slight shrug and then looked away briefly, she couldn't believe how much had happened. Only a day ago they had met and she felt as if this guy had been hers forever, like she had gone through everything with him.
"That almost seems too good to be true" he tells her witha sliht laugh. Another urge came crawling, but he held it back. Somehow he now felt he could.. Maybe...
Eden shrugged and gave him an honest look. She hadnt known much about it but she felt like she could learn. She sipped on her coffee and then said," The nurse will be coming in soon with your dinner, don't worry".
"Damn hospital food." He groaned. He hated the taste of it. It tasted like cardboard to him. He would have to deal with it though. He had no other way to get food. Unless she would get something, but he wouldnt ask her to do such a thing
Eden stood up and placed his bed covers properly over him," Hey, hospital food isn't that bad". She totally lied to make him feel better. Suddenly the nurse came in and smiled," I have food". She placed it on the little table in front of Derrick. Eden smiled at the nurse and said her thanks, the nurse went out and Eden looked at Derrick," Eat".
"Fine you take a bite first" he said and handed it to her. It looked like what was a piece of chicken. "If you can keep a straight face and eat it, i'll eat" he told her.
Eden rolled her eyes and then got a piece of chicken, she ate it quickly and without really thinking. She looked at him and then stuck out her tongue," Now eat it!".
"Fine, I'll eat it." He told her. Without thinking, he ate as fast as he could, so he wouldnt taste it. As soon as he was donehe took thr trey and waved it in the air. "You happy now" he told her
Eden nodded and said," Good". She took the tray from him and moved the table away from him. She sat back down and said," Do you want anything to drink?". All she could do was offer her assistance rather than do nothing.
"No, I'm alright. Thanks anyway" he smiles at her before yawning. He wasnt even tired. Why did he yawn? Was it a side affect or was itsomething worse?
Eden flipped through a magazine and then said," The doctor said you'd be leaving in 5 days tops". She looked at him to see his reaction, but she didn't really tell what it was. She looked back down at the magazine.
"Im not feeling well Eden." He told her softly. His eyes widen and ran to the bathroom and started vomiting badly. It took a few minutes to realize, he was puking blood. His eyes widened and he shut the door so she wouldnt see it.
Eden ran after him. She stood in front of the door and said," Derrick let me help, what's going on?". She was panicking inside and having insane thoughts in her head. She sighed and rubbed her forehead,"Come on", she said softly.
"Its okay Im fi-" he puked again. Yet again, more blood. The sight of it made him even sicker. He knew something was terribly wrong, but what was it. After several minutes he stopped. After resting there for a minute, he flushed the toilet and brushed his teeth and came out. One could tell he was really weak, by how he carried his weight to his bed. He lost a lot of blood, but wont tell anyone.
Eden looked at Derrick like she was seeing him from the first time, she looked at him with her hands above her waist. "What the hell? What happened, Derrick? I hear you puking up and saying you're fine, and now you look like shit", she said, trying to be calm. She was panicking inside, emotionally and mentally.
"I just got a little sick. Im fine now." He lies and mentally curses himself for not cleaning the floor, which still had blood on it. He hoped she wouldnt go in there and look.
Eden laughed bitterly and shook her head," Stop lying to me, I know". She looked at him and raised her eyebrows at him questioningly, she couldn't believe that Derrick didn't want her help.
"Fine, Impuking bloodand Im getting worse by the day." He hesitates before he tells her. He pulls the wig off his head. "And I have stage two Leukemia. Now tell me, is that what you wanted to hear?" He asked sternly
Eden gulped slightly and then took in a breathe, trying to understand and comprehend everything. She looked at him and shook her head," It's not at all what I wanted to hear, but I don't want it to be sugar coated". She took a step closer to him and then kissed his forehead softly, she looked him in the eyes and said," But I'm here".
Why did she have to be so mean to him?
