Harry Bosch: LAPD homicide detective who served in Vietnam as a tunnel rat. Real name Hieronymous Bosch after the artist of the same name. He works in the Hollywood Division and once worked for Robbery Homicide Dept. but was demoted.

Jake McKittrick: One of the detectives assigned to investigate the 1961 Lowe murder case.

I started watching Bosch the other night. I'm two episodes in and while it is very good, I've just realized that the first season is based on books #3, #8 and #12. As we haven't gotten to the later books I've stopped watching because I don't want to ruin those books for myself by watching the show.

I wonder why the producers did that?!

That's why I haven't watched it yet.

Yes, I will definitely get back to watching the series after book #12 because I enjoyed the episodes that I saw. Thankfully the first two didn't give anything away about the cases in the later books.
