ABANDONED. YA book that includes the main character attending the opening of Gone With the Wind and writing to her friend about it

Juels, I tried searching for "GWTW" and found Gone With the Witch by Megan Barnes. No clue if this is close to Jennifer's book.

I think there's a scene about that in Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood or possibly Little Altars Everywhere by Rebecca Wells.

I wouldn't necessarily describe either as a YA book, though. :)
