This is the base/history of the story in case you are interested.

Miranda Wynters was a witch and founder of Afterlife the first ever shelter made for all supernatural beings. She founded this shelter/school decades ago, when the supernatural community was disapproved by the human society as always.


However, nothing lasts forever. As Miranda passed away and her daughter, Jillian, became the ruler, Jillian was not able to handle all this responsibility and after a few years, Afterlife became abandoned and again, supernatural beings were left with powers they had no idea of.

A few decades later, a descendant of Jillian, Isobel, restarted a new shelter based off from Afterlife, named Elysium. Elysium soon became populated, and hope was restored for the unity of supernatural beings. The title of Director is passed down to the next direct Wynter daughter, the present being Beatrice Wynters. Often, Directors take in co-directors but the co-director's descendant will never come to the rule.

However one question is often asked: what happened to Afterlife? No body was able to relocate this first shelter ever again.
