character Brain is based on a real artist who runs holidays in garderns town Banff Scotland. he is very talented and the pastel drawing i talk about in the book is real. i have been on two of his courses which are very good and plan to go again in 2014. he has a website http://www.creative-retreat.co.uk/ He is also in the second book, soon to be published.
