I am reading a novel called The Information by Martin Amis. This novel was published about ten years ago, and it follows the travails of a great but chronically, and spectacularly, unsuccessful writer who is forced to deal with the literary fame and raging success of his best friend, who is an admitted hack and whose good luck never seems to run out.

This success of his compadre, who is really his adversary, is slowly killing Richard Tull, and he needs to do something about it before there is no option left but to concede defeat and quit writing.

This novel is so funny that last night I rolled off my sofa laughing. The Information

Ronan | 19 comments The book that I am currently reading is called "A Clash of Kings" by George R.R Martin. This book is about the constant, epic struggle for power in a realm called Westeros. I am enjoying this book partially because it is very well written. Martin successfully pulls me into the story with brilliant character development and riveting conflicts. It does not revolve around one central narrative, but instead is composed of many different narratives of different characters which weave together to form a plot. I would recommend this book to people who like fantasy, and also fans of the first book in the series titled "A Song of Ice and Fire," which is called "A Game of Thrones."A Clash of Kings

Samantha | 15 comments A Million Little Pieces

I chose this book because in the beginning I thought the title gave itself away which I was okay with, in many books you know what will happen next. So for James Frey to take an approach wich is shocking yet appealing, gives me a more spectacular view of books. What I love about this book is that its not an everyday scenario. It keeps me wanting to know more which is exciting and brilliant I would love for this to be a series.

Clarice "Precious" Jones is an obese and illiterate 16-year-old girl who lives in Harlem with her abusive mother Mary. This book tells the life story of this girl through a diary journal- like format. It's extremely interesting with its plot twists and turns, as well as non stop action. Everything that happens in the books evokes emotion. This is really good as a book and as a movie (Precious 2009), which is very rare for me to say. It's just something about the way the author chose to write this book, from the girl's point of view, that's pretty chilling.I like this book because it's really realistic and some elements are pretty relate-able and it's pretty fascinating how, such an old book can have so many true aspects, still standing, to it. I'm enjoying books like these.

Okay so, I'm enjoying the book so far because of the way the author chose to make the actual text look, the by reading the blurb and the pieces of the book that i have read so far, i can tell that's its going to be an interesting book with an interesting topic. I also read another book by this author so i think that it will be a good read. I hope something exciting starts to happen.
