Douglas was walking past random rooms where the children were kept. He finally stood in front of one and banged on the door. Someone inside had fallen and groaned. He smirked a bit and waited silently.
Ravyn was awoken by banging in her ears and fallen off her small bed. She stood up slowly and groaned, walking to the door.

Coughing was heard from Abel's room, his body shaking as he curled up on his bed. He had his eyes shut tightly and he coughed harder, moaning painfully. He was so cold, though sweat covered his body in a thin layer.
Douglas heard a soft moan of pain and opened up the door. He smirked and picked up the boy, throwing him out of the room.
Ravyn went to the open door and simply waited, watching without emotion. Though she did felt guilty for not stepping in.

Abel hit the floor with a gasping sound, his body aching with a burning sensation. He slightly ipened his eyes to see everything was blurry, and he coughed harder, trying to get on his hands and knees. He shook badly due to the dangerous fever that burned his forehead, trying to stay awake.
Ravyn saw his struggles and walked over to Abel, helping him up and making him lean on her. She was surprised at how warm his skin was and looked at him carefully.
Douglas rolled his eyes at the two and pushed them down the hall, making them go forward to the lab. He was smirking as he did so.

Abel could just barely keep his eyes open, stumbling and struggling to move. He almost fell a few times, but managed to make it down the hall before he fell to his knees. He looked up at Ravyn and Douglas, breathing heavily before he coughed, blood beginning to drip from his lips.
Ravyn went wide eyed and knelt by him frowning. She rubbed his back and looked at Douglas, pleading for help.
Douglas sighed a bit and called a nurse to take care of him, but yanked Ravyn away before she could follow. He took her down a long hallway before entering the lab.
The nurse brought him to his room and made him take some medicine, then gently wiped the sweat away.

Abel laid in his room, breathing heavily as he had his eyes shut. He felt awful, and his insides burned. He coughed and groaned, his body still shaking.
The nurse was giving him medicine, also taking tests to make sure he was okay. She was smiling a bit fakely and made sure he would be okay. "Is there anything else that's wrong?"
Abel groaned and looked at the nurse, "I...I don't feel well..." He said in a raspy voice. Abel clenched his clawed hands, crying out as his body began to burn as if it was on fire.
Abel wasn't able to sleep at all, so he stayed where he was on the bed. E was in too much pain to move.
Abel managed to get up and opened the door, leaning against it while he breathed heavily. Everything was beginning to blur as he looked at Ravyn. His eyes were dull and filled with pain.
Abel frowned, "But you didn't do anything..." This was confusing. Why was she apologizing? Did she feel bad or what happened earlier? Or was she just trying to act nice?

The wind howls as the dark sky turns white. Clouds of smog blocking out the sun... The orphans run to hide from the scientists that lurk to lead children away to their demise.
The innocents stay inside, not wanting to breathe such toxic air.
The scientists just in disguise and try to look as nice as possible.
The tester children wait in their cells, some having rocks or gravel on their bodies... some have scales for skin, others have eyes like a snake, some have difficulty thinking, reading everyone in a two kilometer radius' mind.
The people inside the lab are guarding the tests, waiting for the day to start...
