message 1: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I love my UF books and while I get why the private investigator or a detective works so well but I need a break.

Does anyone have any UF - no PNR please - recommendations where the heroine/hero is not in the policing business?

Thanks!!

message 32: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Oh YAY more books!

You know I really wanted to like Fated but it just never worked for me.

But I totally forgot about Vamp City I think I may check out book 2

Never heard of Vampyres of Hollywood nor Blood Engine so adding that to the list.

FYI while I love Mark of the Demon and I cannot wait to see where she goes with the series from here the main character is a Detective.

I didn't like Fated either and I really wanted to but I couldn't even finish it. Blood Engines is amazing, the main character,Marla Mason, is one of my favorites. The new Marla book comes out in Nov.
