October Group Read Suggestions

Yes I've seen the movie several times. And so far the references to the shining are minimal. I think I'll just read it afterwards. I know King didn't like the movie too well. I'd just like to see how different the book is.

right now I just starting reading The Small Hand and Dolly by Susan Hill.........so far it's a really good read. There are 2 stories in this book and it's not very big but im loving this book so far !!

What is the most scariest book, the kind of book u can't put down, creepiest horror book that you have ever read in your life? not sure if I can post this here but im curious..

I do not believe, after all the books I have read, that I have found that book yet. I would like too soon! I just read a short story CRAWLSPACE that had me squirming in my seat. If someone talked to me or knocked on the door I would have jumped out of my skin. I am going to read more by him and his brother for sure.
