"The change," Eli said tonelessly; he was all too used to this by now. Even after all these years, Dante still couldn't control his thirst, and he always ended up paying the price sooner or later.

"W-" Astraya starts to ask what she was changing into, but the fire had spread to her throat. Her mind became a little clearer though and she connected the dots. He bit her neck, and drank her blood. She was changing. Into a vampire. A monster.

I'm in eighth grade, in two 10/11 grade classes -__-))
Eli frowned slightly, shaking his head. Staying would mean instant death; even he wasn't as powerful as a newborn vampire. It was best to be way out of the way.

((Wow....))

To which I must attend. Bye!))
Eli turned a corner quickly, tossing a bag of blood on the ground next to the girl before taking off. The last thing they needed was someone taking over the city, a newborn.

Astraya suddenly shoots up, feeling a burning in her throat. A burning that could only be quenched by one thing..... Blood. She jumps and snatches up the bag of blood before it even hits the ground and sinks her fangs into it. It was dry in seconds and she pulled away. "Oh crap.... I'm a monster..." She whispers, staring down at her bloody hands.

Eli, knowing that if he didn't get out of here soon, he'd be vampire food soon. Which, of course, was the last thing he wanted. All Eli wanted was to get out of here before any problems started. His blood would remain in his veins, thank you very much.

Astraya whimpers. A monster. She was a monster. And she was hungry.... For blood. She takes off running for the nearest source of food, but stops herself when she sees her little cousin. 14 years old girl, purple glasses, strawberry blonde hair. She was fighting an internal battle, her body screamed for blood, but her heart told her No, not this innocent girl.

Eli, unaware of the things going on back with the girl. He didn't quite care anymore, if he were honest. As long as he didn't get eaten, Eli had taken care of his job. There was nothing more in the job description about being Dante's friend. Only saving the poor victims.

"Because even I'm not strong enough to handle a newborn. You're the one that should be there, not me. You did it, not me." Eli answered simply. Dante didn't reply.
