Cynthia Armistead Newman (technomom) | 159 comments There's a 1993 book titled "Untitled Dragonlance" listed here and on Amazon.com and UK, but as far as I can determine, it wasn't actually published.
UK Edition
US Edition

I searched WorldCat, Library of Congress, other Amazon sites, and a few other resources. The books have ISBNs, but they come up as "not listed" or with the "Untitled Dragonlance" in every source I check.

There aren't any reviews associated with either edition. There are two ratings, but I think the users just rated everything related to Dragonlance.

Should I just leave them alone, or NAB them, or ?

Thanks!

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments I've seen other older untitled books that I've unsuccessfully tried to look up to see which book it is. So, I'd be interested also to know what to do. So far, I've left them alone.

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments Sometimes I'll put a note in the book's description field saying that it didn't appear to have been published, but I won't NAB it just in case I'm wrong.

I have only NAB'd such books when the author (or publisher) has confirmed that they were never published.

Cynthia Armistead Newman (technomom) | 159 comments I did try to contact someone at WotC. If they respond, I'll act accordingly. Thanks!

This Is Not The Michael You're Looking For | 949 comments I know of a number of books with ISBNs and actual titles which were never published. I've marked such in the descriptions but it somehow never occurred to me to mark them as NAB. I should go back and find them.

The most irritating part is some of them have ratings (I hate people who rate books based on author reputation without ever having read the book...like the 13 people who have rated The Wise Man's Fear...the author just sent the first full draft of the manuscript to his editors two weeks ago)

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments Yes, Lisa Lutz just joined and thanked someone for rating her 4th book, which isn't published yet. There were too many ratings to count for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows before it was published, maybe even before it had a title.

I hadn't realized these items were books that had never been published. I thought they were books of that author but that somehow I couldn't find the titles. It's unfortunate they get assigned ISBNs. If I see them again, and I'm sure I will see some, I'll NAB them.

Based on the replies I got when querying people who had rated an OSC book that has yet to be written (let alone published), it's more likely to be confusion with an existing book than based on author alone.
