Ponyboy I am a young girl. I read a little part and was moved into crying. Should I read this??

Jazmine How young? Younger then 15 would make this book inappropriate.

I was 15 when I read this book and I really liked it. I think you'll like it if you're into this kind of books.

CF Ah you could read it if you were a mature 12 I think. Definitely read it! <3

Teagan Cutajar i was thirteen and i absolutely loved it!!! i cried and cried so much :( but it truly is a touching story

Ai Haibara I read it last year when I was 14 and I loved it. Cried so much, not a lot of books can make me really cry, it's a must read!

Anna I read it about a few months ago and did a book report on it, i think you should read it because you can really tell when she's struggling. Although, my english teacher hates it because Tessa, the main character, always whines about things haha

Zain I read it a year ago, i think it's okai for people under 15 to read it, i found it pretty emotional specially the very last few pages ..
enjoy

Angela Cerrito It is an emotional read...i cried at the beginning, middle and especially the end. I cried listening to it while running, reading it on a bus...i even cried the 2nd and 3rd times I read it. Still, it is one of my favorite books!!! If you've read the first few pages and the jacket, you know what it is about. Read it only if you are ready to get to know Tessa better and understand you are reading about the end of her life.

Agreed that's when I read it.

Ruth I read it when I was 12 and thought it was amazing! but I suppose it depends on how mature you are and If you read older teenager and adult books.

message 14: by Gina (new) - rated it 5 stars

Gina Rose I read it a long while ago and I think it was the first book to make me sob like a baby. Very emotional read but worth it!

Sarah I read it it was an interesting book, definitely a not for younger kids but i read it still, i think it is sometimes in fairy tale stuff but it really shows what 16 year old girls want to do before they pass over and how it can happen easily.

Jennifer I really didn't like this book. I'm not sure why but as a cancer survivor myself it just didn't ring true for me. I couldn't muster any sympathy for the characters, the "romance" seemed forced and I didn't like the ending at all.
Personally, I think this was a much better book dealing with the same topic: A Time for Dancing by Davida Wills Hurwin

Jessica I loved this book and found it very moving. Especially toward the end, I couldn't put it down. I was 18 when I read it but I didn't find anything to be inappropriate about it.

Sarah I admit, an amazing book for people how didn't go threw cancer but people who have gone threw cancer would probably have a different opinion about this book.

Suzan it is an amzaing novel really there no chaptee that didnt make me cry it is a touching storyyyyyyy ushould read it

Jamie I think that this is an amazing book and think that its definitely worth the read. I think that a mature 13 year old could read this book onwards.
The story made me upset while reading but felt it dealt with the issues very well a very worthwhile read :)

Paris I was twelve when I read it. I think you should read this book I loved it I have read it seven times! I think you will be glad you did.

I agree I was twelve and if your mature you can handle it.

Jalenxo i read this book when i was 13 very good book, sad but also very intreging love the creative writing

message 24: by Marcia (new) - added it

Marcia I think you're maybe a little bit too young for this book. The story is great and I really love it, but I think it's a little bit too sad and deeply emotional.

Jillian Wait till ur older to read this. I just read this a few days ago, and I'm fifteen. Some of it was still hard for me to handle.

Paula Sealey My daughter read the book at the 13 and urged me to read it straight after as she found it so moving and powerful. The story does stay with you for quite some time after.

Gerd Anna wrote: "Although, my english teacher hates it because Tessa, the main character, always whines about things haha"

Well, she _is_ dying, I think that would make her entitled to a bit of anger and whining. :)

Siobhan I read this when, i was 13 and it was lovely, sad, but i was glad i read i. If u don't mind finding deep emotions in ur self.
It wil make u want 2 appreciate being alive

message 29: by Tia (new) - rated it 4 stars

Tia It's a really sad story. I liked it, though! Lovely!

message 30: by Anna (new) - rated it 5 stars

Anna It's good for some people, not for everyone though. Some may find it sad, I know I did! I did an oral presentation on it in year 11 and my teacher hated the book
