Is Cleanup Script for blank profiles automatic?

I understand that blank profiles will be left for the cleanup script, but I am not sure if that is something that happens automatically or do we need to report these profiles if the "real" profile is claimed by an author who is a member of GR?

In the event you need the info, here it is because it doesn't appear that it is something I can do - if I can do this as a regular librarian, please let me know so I can handle it in the future on my own :-)
