Victoria (zemfirka) I was growing curious about where bloggers come from… :) Well, what I mean is I’m curious about your background and what led you to blogging.

There are plenty of topics that have us introduce ourselves and talk about our blogs, but let’s talk about us!

I’m a tax accountant by day, which is not exactly closely related to blogging about books. But, I love to read and felt the need to share my thoughts about books, which led to creation of my blog.

What about you? :)

Michael Cargill (michaelcargill) | 372 comments I work in IT by day, which can be mildly soul destroying at times.

I'm not entirely sure what led to the creation of my blog - where I post satire humour articles - but it's something that enabled me to put my weird sense of humour into practice!

I'm also an author but I don't ever post about my writing. I have my books listed on it and also use the blog to announce when I have a new one out.

Justin Bieber's diary is one of the most popular regular things on my blog - http://michaelcargill.wordpress.com/2...

Well, I'm sure working in IT is helpful, as I often find myself completely clueless about the technical side of the blog - but I'm learning and it's fun! :)

Michael, I've actually visited your blog before, and your Justin Bieber posts are pretty hilarious! :)

Oh, and thanks for stopping by my blog as well.

V.

I sent you an email as well...

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 189 comments I work in admin, which is very dull. I had a blog years ago when hotmail had them but it got eaten when MSN communities vanished. It was more Phantom of the Opera stuff though. I suppose it is another creative outpouring.

Scott Kinkade | 24 comments I'm sadly unemployed at the moment, but aside from blogging, I try to educate people about the reality of living with depression and Asperger's via my YouTube page: http://www.youtube.com/user/InfiniCal...

My blog actually has nothing to do with that, though. I started it to promote my novel writing and gain exposure as an author.

Shomeret | 45 comments I'm a part time bookkeeper and library student. I love research. I started my blog because I wanted a way to write about the research I do on the books I read. Almost all my blog reviews contain research into the topics covered in the books.

Victoria (zemfirka) It's pretty amazing how varied everyone's experiences are:) I don't stop being impressed by the blogging community.

Lance (sportsbookguy) | 396 comments I am a medical coding auditor for my day job. I am also a sports fanatic and read books on all types of sports. Since I have found so few book blogs that reviewed sports books, I decided to start one a couple months ago. Have a few loyal followers but need to learn more such as more links, giveaways, etc.

Lade (ladet) | 18 comments I'm a student. I started blogging because I wanted to share my opinion on a topic and I wasn't really using facebook at that time.

my book blog was born from boredom. I was tired of my other blog. struggling to come up with posts

Jim Vuksic Both the marketing representative and publicist whom the publisher assigned to promote my book upon its release and distribution a little over two years ago repeatedly encouraged me to create and maintain a blog.

Being a retiree with a penchant for enjoying a fairly active social life and spontaneous road trips, I always respectfully declined.

The more they persisted, the more guilty I began to feel for not doing something to make their job a bit easier; so I now have an active blog.

If you are curious and have absolutely nothing better to do, check it out. It may be accessed via my Goodreads profile.
