Karou is practically a prisoner and Thiago is a jerk. This book is very nice, but tooooooo loooooong. All this about war and this fight, and the POVs between Karou and Akiva... I'm getting a little tired. It's interesting, but it could be a little shorter.

This book was very good. The ending was amazing! They're finally on the same side! A little after 50% I confess I was a little tired, but then a lot of things happened again. I can hardly believe it! I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to the next one. I heard that the third book is not very good, but let's see. We'll see. For now, let's enjoy a little fanart:

Omg me too!! The 1st one didn't do it for me until the almost end, when the wishbone was broken. This one has me reeling to see what happens next and when Akiva and Karou will get back together lol

Finished it!! Okay so my overall review was that this book was A LOT better than the first on and I am hopeful and excited to read the 3rd and final one! 1 thing I am not crazy that the author does, often and if you guys agree or if it is just me, let me know...she foreshadows ALOT and personally, it takes the excitement or surprise out of it when it finally does happen! Like she describes stuff so in depth and alludes to what will happen next, which totally blows when I finally get to it. I always find myself saying "well I knew that was going to happen." It's like this is a book --you DONT have to foreshadow, the excitement lies on the thrill of fearing or anticipating to turn the next page! Don't foreshadow something, end the chapter and then make us wait 4 chapters before telling us what we already figured out because you alluded to it 4 chapters ago!! Anyway, he is my spoiler section of my character/book review

(view spoiler)[1st) Zuz! I love her! Like a lot!! Every book needs a fiery bestfriend side kick who isn't afraid to give it to the MCs, friend or foe! (In the Shatter Me series it was Kenji, in "Letters to the Lost, it was Rev, In "To All t he Boys Ive Loved Before" it was Kitty...you get my point) you ALWAYS need one. So I love Zuz for that and she is the true definition of a ROD friend

2nd --I LOVE Mic --if only for loving Zuz lol...but always because he is a great bf and friend

3rd --Karou...so she annoyed me a bit, although she is like 18 or 19 in her second life she wasn''t 18/19 in her chimaera life, STOP acting like a child! Tell Akiva that you still and always will love him and start a new breed of chimaera/angel hybrid babies lol

But seriously! Like I like Karou as a character, really do...but the way she was treating Akiva towards the end, like STOP, stop it NOW! He only killed brimstone and your entire village to avenge YOU who he thought was dead! Like he wasn't just killing them just to do it! Cmon!

I do understand that she is broken, and pulling at loose thread but give him a break! That is what I am most looking forward to next novel....and I guess seeing how the war ends lol

4th --Akiva...I LOVE him! I think I love him for his heart and how deeply it feels and loves Karou/Madrigal. Karou needs to be honest with him before he accidently kills Ziri thinking him truly to be the White Wolf! I don't understand her lack of trust for him...I really don't!

When Hazael died and he couldn't be resurrected...my heart hurt! Like I know in every book there is a martyr who must be sacrificed to unite the opposing armies or to show that the other side is human and feels loss like the everyone else but DAMMIT! I was sooooo upset. I may have teared up at that point lol!(view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]
