In general, I don't remember the first one being this good- like honestly this book is just AWESOME!!!! The characters are so much stronger and diverse, and it's so cool seeing it play out from multiple perspectives

(view spoiler)[This is like plot specific comments: so afraid of the whole Thiago thing...like something's gonna happen there!! So scared! Anyways, I'm conflicted on my emotions to Akiva. I totally understand Karou being mad at him, but I also am totally rooting for them, so I can't wait for them to encounter each other again- that'll be a GREAT part! Other than that, I like the ocassional Zuzana parts, they really calm down the book and just add some flair. (hide spoiler)]

I'm super interested and intrigued to continue. So far I've just been reading as much of this book as I can, so I'll probably finish this weekend :)

Haha, well I'm 62% in, and I LOVE it!!! It's so awesome and way better tahn the first book!!!! (view spoiler)[I love so many characters. Akiva is of course awesome, but Ziri is so amazing and I just can't get enough of him. It breaks my heart that I have to root for Akiva instead (just cause Akiva and Karou are perfect). The characters in this book are just perfect, and in my opinion they totally make the entire thing. They're all just so diverse and contribute so much to the plot! (hide spoiler)]

I'll start tomorrow, because I should probably do some homework today, but three day weekend!!!! I'm also reading etiquette & espionage right now, so I might either read this really fast or split my time between the two. We'll see, I'm very spontaneous!!!

I will definitely be starting tomorrow as well. Yay to three day weekends. I can't remember how the first book ends, it has been so long since I have read it, so I hope to scan through that tonight and get the gist of it.

@Shavony I have a feeling it's going to be depressing considering how the first book ended. I have no idea where the story is gonna go though. Is Karou going to form something like a rebel group? Can she ever forgive him? I hope they manage to bring back Brimstone somehow. I really liked him.

@Audrey I still haven't started either. I'll probably start tomorrow too.

I'm glad nobody started yet. It's a really long book and I'm kinda slow haha

I just started last night but I'm only 3 chapters in. I have a feeling this book is going to be much more solemn tone to it than the 1st one. I'm only a few chapters in and it's already sad :/

@Ashlee I've trying to push through but it's hard when you're bored with it you know? I'm at chapter 53 now and things are starting to pick up a little. But it still has this somber tone that I'm not sure I like. It is very well written but incredibly long. So much so that it took the writer 50 chapters to move the story along. I'm going to take a little break now because it's kind of depressing me lol
