Request: Deleting Audiobooks from Library

I finally solved my problem long ago by keeping a separate document listing all my books on Audible by author and title--making sure of the spelling--so I wouldn't have to do any more fruitless searches or interminable scrollings.

The Audible library is accessed via a web browser, and keeps everything you've ever purchased, ready and available for re-download, even to another device, whenever you like. I *love* the foreverness of the library.
In the last 7 years I've collected over 900 books, and the don't clutter up any device. I keep 6-8 at a time on my phone, and a few on my iPad.

Great - I (briefly) signed up for the free daily news subscription & those are still sitting in my library. I will be glad to get rid of them (who wants to listen to old news?).

I have perhaps 600 Audible books in my Library, bought since 2007. Just recently I discovered some problems with some of the older books; they suddenly wouldn't download to my Sansa Clip/Clip+ players. An Audible rep tried giving me a new book (new date of purchase) and the books still wouldn't transfer. He never got back to me about this.
And then this last week I wanted to look at the item page for a book, purchased 2009, I think, and that item isn't available any more. Turns out there's a version of the book with same narrator but a new publication date. I can access the original book to download to Audible Manager, so I guess it's OK. I read in the comments that the book had been re-released to deal with a problem with the narration, but apparently my purchase wasn't upgraded.
Having these issues with books from 6 years ago makes me want to have a physical backup of my Audible Library on a separate hard drive. But I don't know if they would then download properly. When Audible Manager downloads a book to my Sansa Clip players, there's a zero-byte file that goes along with the book segment; and it's left on the player when AM deletes the book. I don't know if a backup copy of the books would run without that zero-byte file.

I was just about to write something similar. If there were a way for the customer to organize their library lists (including putting books listened to in a folder so I didn't need to keep scrolling through them) and maybe even wish list, I'd be a happy camper.

I use iTunes to be able to view all my unread books, using the star system to sort my Audible books from library audiobooks, my kids' books, etc. (Not ideal, but good enough...I'm too used to it to switch.) Then after I've listened to a book, I move the file to a separate folder on my hard drive I have for the Audible books I've read, and I delete it out of iTunes. A little high maintenance, but it works for me. (Of course, I delete audiobooks from the library when I'm done.)
I do wish there was more ability to organize Audible's wish list by favorites, etc. I also wish that we could sort the wish list by the member and/or sale price, rather than the non-member price.

I'd buy even more than I already do if I knew the purchase wouldn't kill the limited storage capacity of my 16GB iPad.
