I will start off. I have two kids books out. I would appreciate it if it would be tweeted. If you tweet about it, would you mind pasting this into your tweet:

Cute and funny #childrensbook. 5 star review from Readers' Favorite. Ducky Duck Doesn't Want to be a Duck #kindlebook http://amzn.to/1bdcbk1

Thank you all for your time and I let us know what we can do for you.

Kim | 3 comments Hi Jenny, I have a children's book coming out soon, The Island of Lost Children, a contemporary re-imagining of the story of Peter and Wendy. I'd really like to engage with other children's book writers about what works for promotion and marketing. I'm also looking for children's book reviewers.

Gia Saulnier (giazzpet) | 4 comments Hi Kim,
My advice on marketing is this : get a user friendly website as well as use Facebook Fan page to get hits on your book.
There are plenty of reviewers out there - you should also check out http://www.jacketflap.com as a source too.

"The Busy Bus by Marsha Cook is an amusing collection of poems for children. The rhymes are witty and the illustrations are colorful. This is a fun book to read with your child and is sure to bring smiles and giggles especially when read out loud in a classroom, library or before bed."

K. Lamb | 9 comments Hello dear writers! My name is Kristen and I am currently promoting my Dani P. Mystery series. I published my first book, Dani and the Haunted House, in December 2013. It is available on Amazon (http://goo.gl/9HyEQ1)in paperback and on Kindle. My second book will be out shortly. I also have several more books in this series under way.

My little protagonist is a mixture of sweet & sassy. She isn't about to let anything---or anyone---stop her when she's out to solve a mystery. She is aided by her timid, but loyal, best friend. Chloe may not be as brave as Dani, but she'll never let her down. By the same token, Dani will always protect and defend Chloe. Together, these two young girls are at the heart of any mischief that comes their way.

I love connecting with other children's writers! I truly believe in helping one another and getting the word out about other books as well as my own. My philosophy seems to be a fit for this group. I believe there is a book out there for every child; the more choices we can offer them, the more likely they will become avid, life-long readers. I love seeing children succeed!

Please feel free to check out my goodreads account (K.Lamb), website at http://www.danipmystery.com, or Facebook account at http://www.facebook.com/danipmystery. Please be sure to "Like" my page while you are there!

Please RT: "Check out Dani and the Haunted House on Amazon at: http://goo.gl/9HyEQ1
The first book in the Dani P. Mystery series."

Thank you! I look forward to getting to know you.

Wishing you all a little adventure,

K. Lamb

Donald Stidham (donaldstidham) | 4 comments Hello everyone. I'm new to Goodreads, but am finding all of these books listed to be great. I will definitely share them with my children. It's wonderful to see other writer's imaginations play out in children's book. I believe children should have to opportunity to expand their imaginations through reading, so that one day their imagination can lead them through life. I recently published my first children's book "The Adventures of Bubba and Sissy: Daddy Does the Same Thing" which I first illustrated and created for my own children, but decided to share it with the world. It's available on Amazon and Createspace.com, and you can check out the adventure on facebook.com/bubbaandsissy
Thank you fellow authors for being fearless in your journey to creativity.

I am preparing to launch my first children's picture book. I have a website www.michelleeastmanbooks.com and have begun promoting it on my facebook page. My question is how does an author get images to post on google and other search engines? I noticed Charity has several images and links when I searched her name. I appreciate any insight you can offer.

So glad I found this group for promoting other children’s book with other authors of this genre. I’m an indie author of illustrated chapter books for young readers. Just published my second book, Finding Fuzzy: a You-Decide Tale of a Lost FriendFinding Fuzzy: a You-Decide Tale of a Lost Friend. Set on North Carolina's Crystal Coast, this book for grades K-3 is based on family beach trips, where we stayed with 10 young nieces and nephews in a real cozy yellow cottage.

I'll take the time it deserves to go through this thread and add my support to the requests noted. Please find below promo efforts that I’d be over the moon to have help with. I recently signed up for Twitter and have yet to do my first tweet…..this group will offer lots to tweet about. Cheers!

Cat Michaels Hi, Michelle,

(Apologies if this duplicates, but I cannot see the thread discussion.) Are you familiar with search engine optimization (SEO) and Google? Basically, your site ranks higher in searches if it has a blog, uses powerful key words links-back from your webpage to other sites with 'valued' content, etc. Google also tends to rank sites higher if they use Google analytics and webmaster tools. Having these elements in place gives a higher search ranking and visibility in a search.

Here's a great article by my web host that explains steps you can take now to enhance SEO. Good luck!
