I have noticed on old threads that there are deleted users. what would cause someone to become deleted? where would one find such information? Just curious.

The account holders might have deleted their accounts, or they were kicked off for being abusive or spammers.
thanks because I was wondering. I use the app to get on goodreads and because it has a few drawbacks and its easy to navigate I will make threads under the wrong folders etc., and I am " corrected " by moderators and I am afraid I will get deleted for things like that, when it is usually because I have hit the wrong thing or something like that.

Spamming, however can be a problem. I had to warn someone a while ago that posting the same message under six different topics (unrelated to her post) in the same group was going to get her kicked out if she wasn't careful. It's messages like advertising or plugging your book/work that will get you in trouble, especially if you go from group to group, posting anywhere and everywhere without reading the rules (Most groups have rules for each folder)
You should be perfectly safe.
