Matt Liggins | 10 comments Hi Dudes,

I'm new here so just wanted to say hello. I'm an avid reader and new writer of thrillers and the ones which I love the most are those with an element of mystery. I'm looking forward to getting stuck into some book chat.

I'm currently re-reading 'The Great Gatsby' to try to be a little bit cultured after dining out on trash for the last week with 'Nothing Last Forever' and '58 Minutes'; the novels which inspired the first two Die Hard films.

I don't have a favourite book, I can never choose favourites, but have a look at my profile to see the kind of stuff I like.

Thanks for reading

Matt

Hi Matt! I think if you enjoy what you're reading it's not trash. I guess that was a bold statement because some things are trash LOL! Well maybe I will say one man's trash is another man's treasure. How's that? As long as you are reading that's a good thing.

Hi Don,
My first novel is called Deliberate Coincidence and is available now on amazon and kobo, nook coming soon. It's a thriller about luck: in seven days five destinies will intersect, five lives will change. The clock is ticking and a storm is coming.

I've posted about it in author's corner under the title Deliberate Coincudence where you can read the full blurb and link to amazon to have a proper look if you're interested.

Do you write yourself Don?

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

Cheers
Matt

A.G. (rockinghorse) | 75 comments Matt. You write a damn good book. I read part of it and will get the entire book. Liverpool in the snow grabbed me from the first paragraph. I'm from Southport where the tide never comes in. Came to the USA after I was demobbed. Arrived in LA 1948. Now live in a small town in northern California. Come chat with me. http://wwwaghayes.com I write political thrillers. You can find me on Amazon under A.G.Hayes.
Say hi to the wife and kids.

Matt Liggins | 10 comments Hi Anthony, thanks very much and for having a look at my novel. I hope you enjoy the rest of it as much as the opening. I'll have to have a look at your website and check out your books.

Funny you happened to be from Merseyside and now live in California as one of the characters in Deliberate Coincidence, set in Liverpool, is from Santa Cruz not too far down the coast from you. Coincidences abound

I wrote an essay, The Masque of William Shakespeare, that is a true-crime tale of espionage and murder involving W.S.

My novel is Return of the Falcon, a mystery/thriller involving the infamous Maltese Falcon.

Both are here on Goodreads and everywhere ebooks are available.

Matt Liggins | 10 comments Looks interesting Don and you've had some good reviews on your page. Good luck with it all and working on the sequel. I am about to start the follow up to my first novel too. Hopefully won't take me as long as writing the first!

Don Satalic (donsatalic) | 135 comments Return of the Falcon took almost 25 years to write. I started it, stopped, picked it up again only to put it back on the shelf. Then a few years ago my youngest son said I had to complete it, if not for me then for him. So, after two more hard years, I finished the book...for him. And I'm glad I did. I hope the sequel goes a little quicker.
