To be fair I've been out of high school for many years now so I have no patience for those types of shenanigans and don't find them interesting.

I also didn't care for Dmitri, I thought he was quite forgettable compared to Christian and even Mason, and the romance was meh. (hide spoiler)]

I loved this the first time I read it and I am currently on Chapter 4 going why on earth have I done this to myself

idk if it's because my frontal lobe is all good now, but i rated it 4 stars (or 3, i can't remember now) when i read it back in like 2014 (so i was 23 ish) but now i'm like, wtf is this? it's happened to a lot of YA books that i read in my early 20's then re-reading them now and i just can't even see how i liked it at all XD

yes omg this is me for every YA book I read lately, I'm cancelling all my YA subscriptions because of it :s the fact that some people love a book and then I'm like ... what part was good? it's insane lol

I know I am late but well adulting is hard. This is my first time reading the book and I am at Chapter 6, I have watch the movie a bunch of times.

Like how there are more small details that I did not get from the movie.

Finish it.

I watch this movie like 5 times so the book did not have the wow factor for me.

Things I like
* I like that we get just that little bit extra that you don't get in the movie - I do think the book is better than the movie and can't wait to continue.
* I like Mason's character, he is such a good friend.
* I like how they explained the world.
* Dimitri is one of my fav characters

Now things I did not like or was just average:
* Lissa sometimes irritates me, the way she is thinking is more childlike that teenager. That is my opinion (please don't come for me)
* The friendship between Lissa and Rose. I feel Rose does more for the friendship than Lissa.

I will continue with the series my daughter loved it so hopefully I will love book 2 more, I think the movie kind of spoiled book 1 because I already knew what will happen.
