Many goodreads readers have a veracious appetite, and can consume two to five books a week. I've experienced an overwhelming amount of book reading discussions and challenges happening on other sites. My goal for our group is to simplify the amazing concept of the readers groups. We'll keep it so simple. One book, each month. The benefit of this tactic, is to focus on enjoying a shared story experience, and not losing the power and effect of a great book, by having it compete with a dozen other great books. I want to give each New Adult book we read the respect and appreciation it deserves.

The Siren's Tale (Home Schooling, #2) by Anne Carlisle and Girl with Guitar (Kylie Ryans, #1) by Caisey Quinn

were a few prospective choices.

Mickey (mickey_corrigan) I see you are considering a book I'm dying to dive into. The Hobbyist sounds like a fascinating read. I like the male perspective once in a while.

Yael Itamar (yael_itamar) Is there still time to nominate a book? I recently finished The Edge of Normal by Carla Norton, and I think a lot of people would enjoy it.

Based on everyone's input we have a tie. Four votes for Ten Tiny Breaths (Ten Tiny Breaths, #1) by K.A. Tucker and four votes for Ruin by Rachel Van Dyken

At first I thought I would flip a coin, but then I had a more devious thought. In the spirit of competition, whomever happens to stop by first, with a vote for either Ruin or Ten Tiny Breaths will be our tiebreaker!

I wonder who they will be? I wonder which they will pick? ": )

message 36: by Katelyn (new)

Ruin by Rachel Van Dyken
Is The Book of The Month!

What great taste our book group has, all the nominations were impressively good.

So now . . . we read.

Within the week I will post some topics regarding the book, for readers to keep in the back of their minds while reading. On October 7th, I'll post our first topic which will cover something from the first fifty pages. I don't want to go beyond that, so we won't spoil the rest. I'll post more topics on 10/20/2013 for book discussions. Enjoy!
