Hemant Kumar (HemantKumar) | 3 comments Greetings.

I am an author from India. My book- Prey by The Ganges- is on goodreads. It is also on scores of leading websites.

For an entire year, a squatter sat on my goodreads page, writing quotes and comments, masquarading as me. Some were idiotic, some others objectionable and some downright filthy.

With great dificulty, and after a long delay, and after writing to members of the Goodreads organisation, I got them to remove the squatter and ban him.

Goodreads went in an removed most of the quotes from the main "Quotes" page of the book, but they still show on the Author's page, and also on the main page of the book- Prey By The Ganges.

Please help me remove them from the author's page, as well as from the connected book's page. Here is a link to the relevant page:
https://www.goodreads.com/author/quot...

I'll be grateul for your help.

Hemant Kumar

If you have previously gone through Customer Care for this issue, any follow-ups should also go through them. They would have the background.

Louise Mullins (louisemullinsauthor) | 2 comments I have also had quotes appear on my page that aren't in my book (Why She Left) and my profile page was hacked after I made a complaint to Amazon about an author who had set up fake profiles on Amazon and Goodreads, leaving negative reviews, and somehow able to delete positive ones from my Amazon and Goodreads pages. Within the same timeframe (3 days) from the 9th-11th January. Now my star rating has drastically gone down. His fake profiles have left more negative reviews on my work, and lots of positive ones on his won. He's left comments saying my books have spelling errors and grammar issues (completely untrue, but his DO) and now a quote supposedly from my thriller (Why She Left) containing a passage that's not in any of my books, least of all that one. I've contacted Amazon, and he is going to be suspended from their author accounts, but Goodreads still have not got back to me or done anything about it. PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!

Librarians can't do anything about this, and staff usually isn't around on weekends to monitor this group.
