Declan went to his study and did some work. He talked with a few of the officials.

Declan sighed and leaned back in the chair. He ran an hand through his hair.
Declan got up when he was told some guards were fighting with the Captain of The Guard.
Declan sighed and went out to the courtyard where the fight was happening. He walked out. "Hey!" he called.
The guards started talking over each other, creating more chaos.
One of the guards tried to punch the King. Declan caught his fist.
((What? It happens. I've read plenty of books in this era.))

Declan got up to go gather Phoebe for dinner. He went and knocked on her door.

Assuming she was in the bathroom he went to the dining hall alone.
Declan went to the dining hall and ate dinner with the officials.
Declan went back to his chambers.
Declan started to worry. He hadn't seen Phoebe all evening.
Declan had gone out alone to see if she'd left the castle. He was freaking out.
Declan spotted her. He walked over to her. "Phoebe." he said.
"We'll talk when we get back to the castle." Declan said. He had thought she'd left him, like Veronica, his last wife.
"Just come on." he said. Declan walked in the direction of the castle.
Declan led her to the castle, inside then to his parlor. When they were in he started pacing.
"Please don't do that." he asked softly.
"I don't mind you going to visit your family but please tell me first." he said. Declan sat beside her.
"Why else would you go into town without saying anything?"
"I don't mean everything. Just that you're leaving and you're coming back..." he said.
"She left me. That's why I'm like this. I was afraid you'd done the same." he said, not mentioning the fact she bore him no children.
Declan shook his head. "I don't know. She just left me."
Declan smiled softly. "I'm glad." he said, kissing her cheek softly.
Declan smiled wider and nodded. He gently pulled her to him and into his lap.
Declan smiled and nuzzled her hair.
Declan chuckled and went and laid her on his bed.
Declan rolled his eyes and covered her with a blanket. He grabbed a separate blanket for himself and lied down. Falling asleep.
Declaan was already awake and out of bed. He walked in as she pulled the blanket above her head. "Good morning, love." he said.
"Okay..." he said and then turned around.
Declan turned around and laughed.
"Not with that on you." he said, whipping it off of her.
