Meghan has a fairly square face, kinda heartshaped with a cute little chin. She is short for her age. She is pale, with freckles and big brown eyes. She has wavy red hair that goes just below the shoulders. She usually wears skinny jeans and oversized hoodies with quotes or symbols. She has her ears pierced, with one earring on her right ear and two on her left ear. Her nose makes a soft inward curve, unlike her mothers outward one. She has big eyelashes.

Personality: She is creative, imaginative and distracted. A daydreamer. She is shy at first, but will become cheerful and hyper when she opens up. She's a good listener, and very supportive. She doesn't really voice her opinion much, unless it is something she honestly believes in, or angers her. Then, expect a 16 hour long rant. She doesn't follow trends, she does her own thing. She has a very different taste in music.
One of her biggest passions is reading. She loves fiction books, because of all the voyages she can do and all the characters she can feel for and the stories she can be trapped in. She loves the sea, and being in the forest calms her down. Another passion of hers since she was a kid is drawing. She had always drawn, but at ten she had discovered manga, which she began drawing and found it suited her more than realistic. After that, she also began reading manga and watching anime. She also loves astrology, because it lets her understand herself and others better. She's also into psychology for that. She can be considered a "fangirl". She really likes sushi. And noodles. Basically anything Japanese, she's even learning the language. She also likes writing stories of her own. She constantly has new ideas, so much that she ahs to annotate them. Some of them she turns to books, some to movie scripts. She takes acting lessons, and would've liked to be an actress/director if she was a mundane. She's pretty smart and has a great memory.


History: Meghan's father, Daniel had been a Shadowhunter, but had wanted to marry Johanne, a mundane who could not ascend due to being a bit weak from frequent sickness. He gave up being a shadowhunter and went to live a mundane life. Meghan went to mundane school, and she was really distracted and daydreamer as usual. She couldn't endure a single lesson without doodling on a paper, or on the edges of her books. She got scolded for it though, so she often just daydreamed. She'd always do good in test and class, though, since her brain worked a bit like a sponge, absorbing information even without her realising it. So when she was distracted, and a teacher asked her something, she was startled but somehow still knew the answer, even if she hadn't heard the question. That way, she never studied. She simply couldn't. So much that she never knew when there were tests, since was distracted, and was always caught by surprise. She'd know the information, though, and she was always one of the best in her class. Homework was a problem though, since she didn't know what it was. It was like her brain switched off whenever a teacher told them the homework. She found herself doing homework at lunchtimes, but had never gotten a detention. Ever. An achievement, huh?
But her parents had been keeping her shadowhunterness from her. She had no awareness of the shadow world. When she was thirteen, she discovered the shadow world from overhearring and was told the whole story from Jonathan Shadowhunter to Clarissa Fairchild. She got angry, but restrained herself. When her mother died, at fourteen that was horrible. Yet, she stayed. But her father had become crazy, and began drinking, and gotten firef from his job and was now in really big debt. To make it worse, he'd started beating her. At fifteen, after a painful year of enduring, she decided to run away to the Institute. She knew they'd take her in. She'd always wanted a life like that, seemingly taken out from a book, and wouldn't exactly miss her father. What did she have to lose? She came to the institute. She's been there for almost a year.

Fairchilds are a complicated family. At first sight, they may look friendly, kind and maybe even weak, but when you get to know them you see an inner strength, an ability to do what is needed even though they may not like it. They have a beautiful, romantic and sweet side that is easy to see, and another cold, strong, unbeatable part that is hidden under nice smiles and sweet words. Even Fairchilds get surprised sometimes for their own attitude.
Although their cold minds, their top priority on any matter is the protection of those they love. It may seem cliché, but a Fairchild would rather let unknown people die over killing their family or friends. They aren't natural leaders, instead they stay behind someone with that ability and give them their opinion, which almost always is wise and accurate.

Melody has long, curly light blond hair in pigtails and crimson red eyes. She has a pale skin tone and has a heart shaped face. She's about average in height, standing at 5'9. She's slim from all the physical activity that comes from being a shadow hunter, but still has a decent figure- she's in no way a twig. She knows that she's pretty, and she's kinda insecure, but she's also not vain or a snob. She doesn't look muscular, but she can definitely pack a punch and a kick. I wouldn't underestimate her if I were you. She normally wears a black long sleeve shirt and a tie. A black skirt and combat boots, unless she is at a party. If she is forced to go (she doesn’t like party other than Magnus’ of course.) she wears a black dress and a pair of sneakers. You will never find this girl in high heels. She also doesn’t wear makeup normally, only at parties.

Even though her exterior is sweet and innocent. Her interior is different. She’s smart and explosive at the same time. She can be at her highest high , happy and bubbly one minute, then on a flip on the dime she can be angry and aggressive, her lowest lows. She is a Fairchild after all. And she lives in fear that her brother will kill them all.
She puts others before herself though. If someone needed assistance, she would help. Especially people really close to her. She would die for her best friend and even her parabatai. But her enemies never see her light side. So you can either be her bestest of friends or her worstest of enemies.

History: She was born a triplet, to an amazing sister and the worst brother ever. Her mother and father never married for some odd reason she couldn’t comprehend. Her mother always called her a savage fighter. At the age of 7, her mom explained that she was a shadowhunter and she was the only one of the children, and told her to keep it a secret. At the age of eleven, she lost her biological father to a pair of demons. She watched him being ripped apart limb from limb, and couldn’t do anything. Her brother lead the attack. He told her that if she told anyone, she would die because she was weak. And couldn’t do anything. At that moment she knew two things, she hated her brother, and that she was gonna protect any close person to her. The next year her mother got a new boyfriend and she had a baby sister. She told her mom that she was gonna protect her no matter what.
At the age of 14 they her brother, sisters, and step-father learned she was a shadowhunter after she protected her younger sister mila from a demon. Her little sister was in aww and called her a superhero. She explained to her mom that she wouldn’t let them have her last hope for humanity. And her mother said she would’ve done the same thing, but told her she was going to live somewhere else at the age of 18. She was nervous to be moving in three years, so she asked her mom to train her so she can defend herself.
3 years she moved to the new york initsuite and meant her parabatai Amara Lightwood. They talked and she meant her friends. A year later she developed a crush on him and enjoys hanging out with all of them. She likes going out with her friends. And she lives the rest of her life knowing that her brother is a circle member and he is with her younger sister. But she knows she will be safe… because as long as her mother lives, so does she.
