Jordan sighed and pulled her to his chest. "I'm sorry..." He murmured to her.

Rae buried her face in his chest. Still crying, she clung to him like a life line.
He heart sunk as he started to gate himself for doing this...but what war the alternative? Let her live with her abusive father? He couldn't do that. He buried his nose into her hair and just held her.
Rae looked up as the police pulled up. She then looked away. "I don't want to go, Jordan." she whispered to him.
"you don't have to yet. Right now they're just asking questions and taking you're father." He murmured to her gently. "and... You could always stay with me. I'm fine with sleeping on the couch until college." He said, trying to lighten the mood some.
Rae nodded and put her head on his shoulder. "Don't leave." she said quietly.
"i won't." He assured her as a policeman came up to them. "we got a report of defensive violence. "yes, i was the one that called." He gently pushed Rae's hair aside and showed him the bruise "her father did thus and various others in the past." He told him. The policeman nodded "thank you." He signaled two other men to follow him as they entered the hide, finding her father.
Rae kept her face buried in his neck as the policeman came and talked to Jordan. She felt small. Weak. And it scared her because she'd never felt this way before. Even when her father hit her, yelled at her, ect. But now the world felt so big.
Jordan heels her a bit tighter. "don't look." He whispered into her ear as the policemen dragged out her fuming father.
Rae nodded against his neck. 'Don't look,' was easy. 'Don't listen,' not so much.
He covered her ears and kissed her forehead as her father was put onto the back of a police car that drove away soon.
Rae slowly pulled away a few moments later. "He's gone, isn't he?" she asked him quietly, her voice breaking.
He nodded "he's gone." Hr told her gently.
Rae closed her eyes and nodded slowly.
He kissed her forehead "you're safe now. No one is going to hurt you anymore."
He nodded and stood, picking her up. "should i take you to your room?" He murmured.
Rae nodded. She closed her eyes and put her head on his shoulder. Falling asleep quickly.
He carefully carried her upstairs and laid her in her bed.
Rae cuddled into her blankets and pillows when she was put down.
He say on the edge of her bed, almost protectively, and watched her sleep for a bit.
Rae slept peacefully for a few hours.
Jordan had fallen asleep and the foot of her bed.
Rae sat up to see Jordan at the end of her bed. Rae chuckled softly.
Jordan instantly woke up "Hmm, what? I'm awake."
Rae laughed. "You weren't thirty seconds ago." she pointed out.
Jordan blushed "sorry." He muttered. "did you sleep well?" He asked.
Rae nodded. "Yeah." she answers, rubbing her eyes. Stretching a little bit.
He smiled "that's good." He leaned over and kissed her temple. "lets pack you a bag so you can stay at my place."
Rae smiled softly. She got up and grabbed a luggage bag out of her closet.
Jason started grabbing clothes for her.
Rae took them and folder them. Then putting the clothes in the bag.
Jordan smiled at her once they were done. "you can bring anything else you want." He assured her.
Rae got some needed things before getting her pillow, phone, school bags/books, and a special teddy bear. It was from her parents before they started to fight all the time.
Jordan took her things to his truck.
He then opened the passenger door for her.
Rae got in and buckled up. Holding the teddy bear to her chest.
Jordan looked at her fire moment and smiled softly before staring the car and driving away from her house.
Rae looked out the window as Jordan drove.
Jordan son pulled up to his apartment building.
He carried her stuff inside. "my mom is still at work." He told her, taking her things to his room.
Rae nodded and followed Jordan. Thousands of worries running in circles through her mind.
He smiled softly at her, seeing her worried expression. "its gonna be okay."
"I know..." she said quietly. Rae ran a hand through her hair, a nervous habit.
Jordan hugged her. "and I'll make sure it stays okay. So don't worry."
Rae sighed and nodded. "I'll try." she said softly.
Jordan kissed her forehead softly "good. how about we run you a nice hit bath to help you relax?" He smiled at her.
Rae smiles. "That sounds amazing." she said truthfully.
