She went over to her "sweety, why are you crying?" She asked gently.

She shook her head "please tell me. I'm not a worry wart lie my son, but i know somethings wrong." She looked into her eyes. "please, Rae."
"I'm scared for my parents." she said. "Their fights are getting more violent. More dangerous."
She frowned "more dangerous? Are you afraid one of them is going to get hurt?"
"are you afraid that they could also hurt you?"
She nodded "well that's good. Maybe you just need to talk to them. Separately." She suggested.
"now lets go back inside before my son worries to death." She put a hand lightly on her shoulder and led her back to the dining table.
Jordan looked at Rae "are you okay?" He asked softly.
Rae nodded. "Yeah." she said.
"lets finish dinner." His mother said, sitting down."Jordan nodded but looked at Rae, still worried.
Rae sat and continued to eat.
Once they were done Jordan took the empty plates and put them in the sink.
Rae sighed and closed her eyes.
"Rae, wood you like to go to bed?" Jordan's mother asked.
"If you don't mind.." she said.
She smiled "not at all sweety. Go ahead."Jordan came in "I'll tuck you in." He teased, smiling softly.
Rae giggled and started upstairs.

Rae followed. When they got there she grabbed her bag and took it to the bathroom. She changed and brushed her teeth and hair.

He smiled and gut up, suddenly picking her up "someone's sleepy." He teased, carrying her to his bed and seeing her down. "good night." He murmured to her softly, pulling the covers over her.
Rae yelped. Surprised when he picked her up. She sighed and closed her eyes. "Night." Rae said.
He leaned down and kissed her forehead. "sweet dreams." He murmured to her before leaving the room and going to the couch.
Rae snuggled into the blankets and pillow and fell asleep.
He laid down on the couch and closed his eyes, though it was a while before he actually feel asleep.

The smell of pancakes and bacon filled the house. Jordan's mother was making breakfast.Jordan woke and smiled. He got up but instead of going to the kitchen he peeked into his room to see if Rae was up yet. He tried to be as quiet as possible so he wouldn't wake get if she was still asleep.
She heard the door creak and threw a pillow in that direction. More or less to let him know she was awake.
"hey..." He pouted. "meany." He quietly walked into the room and sat on the edge of the bed. "morning." He murmured.
"Morning." she said. Rae had no idea why but she was insanely happy.

"Good." she said, smiling back at him.
"hmm, any good dreams?" He asked
"Nope. No dreams actually." she said.
"Aww, that's no fun." He teased. He laid down beside her
"Its better than nightmares." she said.
"true, true." He looked at her "you know, you're cute when you wake up." He teased. "all bundled up in my covers with bed head and sleepy eyes."
"Hey!" Rae exclaimed and swatted him.
He laughed and hugged "oh, come on! You know its true." He teased more, thug he had meant what he said.
Rae pouted. "No, its not." she said.
"yes it is." He smiled at her, still holding her. "its 100.1% true." He assured her.
"100.1%? Is that even a thing?" Rae asked.
