Finished: Wow what a freaking journey (view spoiler)[ This book has totes wrecked me.. I think this author has mastered the dragged out plot.. I say mastered because she fills all the time with a crap ton of action scenes.. I mean how many battles did we just fight? That was freaking rough. I am so happy that in the end all of the characters got their revenge, and that in the end it was Aelin and her entourages cleverness that won and not just might or power. She used the same trick on Mannon when they first met.. drawing the wyrd marks with blood on the ground to trap her. After all the broken Aelin it was awesome to see her back up to her tricks in the end. Almost back to herself. Everyone gets a HEA! So glad to finally have finished this series! Amazing series.

Side note the audio on Audible was freaking legit.. Narrator did an excellent job conveying emotion even on 2.0x speed. It was good! (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

But it takes me a very long time to get into the beginning of the book...especially in a series where they introduce new characters at the beginning of each book. So I'm just trying to learn everyone new right now. I was so sad with the Chaol and Aelin reunion :/ Guess they won't be forgiving each other anytime soon. I miss Rowan too... I feel like this book is action packed compared to Heir of Fire and that book absolutely bored me. I felt like I was way more connected to the characters during the read. Sarah had my attention the entire time instead of me wanting to skip over certain chapters because I just wasn’t interested in the character. The only issue I'm having right now, is there seems to be so many names that start with A' that I have to sometimes reread who is talking, but overall I'm really enjoying the plot, and I find these books to read really fast...I must enjoy the pacing with this series.
