Bob You know how certain books stick with you and you keep thinking about them over time? I have one book like that and it's bugging me because I read it 10 years ago or so and I can't remember the title or the author, so I thought I'd ask if anybody recognizes it from the plot.

All I can remember is that it involves the protagonist (a female cyborg, whom I'm almost certain was named H_rd or something like that) air-dropping from space and breaking into a research station on a repressive world, taking a hostage, and then beginning a lesbian relationship with her hostage while they're hiding out from those chasing them. It seemed like it might have been book 1 in a series. The relationship kinda put me off, but I remember I thought the rest of the book was awesome, and I'm curious now which author I was reading and if I've read others by them. Can anyone help me?

Leonie (leonierogers) | 97 comments I can't help you, but there's a group that specialises in finding lost books if no one here is able to tell you what it might be.

http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/185 It's called "What's the name of that book?"

Mickey | 623 comments Not sure if this it, about ten years old, the cover shows a woman/android being air dropped. She on the other hand has been captured and taken to a lab for dismantling? But the main character is name Cassandra.

Is this it?
Crossover (Cassandra Kresnov, #1) by Joel Shepherd
